This is meant to be a good way for all of us to share info about alternative pokersites. This is NOT a thread to complain about what's happened or speculate about the future (there's plenty of those threads already).

    I had a little over $50 on bodog that I used for the occasional tournament when I was drunk and/or $1 sports betting for shits and giggles, so I've been playing on there a little bit. But I wouldn't deposit here if I didn't already have some cash on there.

    The site really is pretty much worthless for MTT's.. If you like playing 25nl and under cash games there's usually a few fishy games going.

    And who knows how long it's going to stay alive.

    Bodog all of 2010..first 3 months of this year on cake...now back on bodog...lucky me wash state had already banned stars and tilt. so no money in limbo.

    No, Bodog take CC as well as usemywallet which is a neteller like ewallet. Cake has usemywallet and direct checking deposits.

    4. How is the mtt schedule?

    Bodog has the 100k of course...other than than its a bunch of 1k to 5k guarantees which buy ins fro 10 to 70 bucks
    Cake has a few 5k tourneys at prime time...otherwise very little.

    5. How are the ring games?

    Bodog....soft..avg pot for .5/1 NL is anywhere from 10 to 20 bucks or more
    Cake...soft as well but without the crazy sports bettor i metion below

    6. What do you like about the site?

    Bodog..
    software..the beginner sngs...soft cash games and the crazy sports bettors you will find drunk as hell at night open shoving 100 bucks into no raises at a 100NL table..lol...fast payouts, good support

    Cake..
    Can 9 table semi effectively, 33 percent rakeback, card rewards system, decent loyalty system, good support

    7. What do you dislike about the site?

    bodog
    Only 4 table..software can be slow...sngs are fairly sparse to fill up..no rakeback for me at least..shitty loyalty system.none really

    cake
    buggy software, sngs sparse as well, slow payouts

    I have played on carbon as well and you can effectiely play 9 tables there and the low limit sngs fill up fast. they also have fishy tables and a decent loyalty system. some love the graphics and some hate em.

    just deposited 20 bucks....just to see. seems to be fine at bodog. Does seem soft so far, playing a begginner sng for 4 bucks.

    Do Cake and Bodog still let U.S. players deposit and withdrawal with an eWallet or whatever it is? What is the minimum and maximum cashout/withdrawal and how long does it usually take?

    Well I started playing again on Cake, no issues on depositing or withdrawing. MTT schedule is small, but its better then nothing.

    Just downloaded Carbon as well, no issues with download or depositing with debit visa. In my first tourny and seems fine and the MTT schedule is triple what Cake is.

    Something about Bodog tilts me, but I haven't been on it for a couple years so may give it a shot if these 2 sites don't do it for me until something better comes along.

    I want to believe that these sites will continue to serve the US market, but how are they processing the financial transactions legally? Did they find some magic loophole or is it just a matter of time before they get busted too?

    2. already downloaded
    3. already had a deposit
    4. they have a good amount of mtt and lots of freebies
    5. ring games are good loose and get a decent amount of traffic
    6.35% rakeback on top of other promotions loose players good overall site in my opinion, super turbo stt
    7. not many mtt players but hopefully will pickup with what has happened

    ass for doyles room, I got the bug last night and dl-ed doyles room. software sucks its horrible u can multi table but its slow and u cant mini or max windows like on PS., however depositing was a snap took like 15 minutes and i had my account loaded. Games were soft with 50%-75% of player in on the flop in the 6max cash games.

    The mtt schedule is terrible, at best its similair to UB but still not close. on the flip side of that, the fields are small and u probably have a better chance of shipping one here then on say PS or FTP.

    SNGs dont seem to fill here.

    Gonna check out bodog havent been there in 5 or 6 years,.

    There is no magic loophole these sites are using to make deposits/withdrawals to US players. If there was such a loophole, stars and tilt would have been using this from day 1 (and they have the resources available to know if such a loophole existed). Any site serving US players currently is doing the exact same thing stars and tilt were doing.

    The only difference being they 1) Havent been caught yet. 2) Weren't doing enough transactions to deter man power away from the DOJ to be pursued due to the DOJ likely using all its resources to gather what they needed against Stars/tilt/ub/cereus.

    However, I'd be very interested in hearing about peoples withdrawal experiences from Bodog made AFTER Apr 15.

    bodogs volume seems to be significantly going up day by day. The 4 table max thing sux and the software is painfully slow but the players are the worst ive ever seen... endless limping and ppl flatting and folding for like 75% of their stack might be worth a look to some of you probly try carbon tomorrow to fill up my screen as i heard their mtt schedule isnt that bad

    software is terrible but the poker rep said they're having a major software update on may 1st, also there is no sync breaks, almost fired up some games today but found this out, all the breaks are 1 hour after they start, so if you play a few different mtt's you won't have any breaks, they all break at different times.

    i just went to the cashier and there is a tab that says transfer but it says i cannot make it at this time im not sure if it has always said that or they changed it because i have never tried to before

    This is a really really good point. Haven't seen this really addressed anywhere though. How did all of these sites find a loophole that Stars and Tilt couldn't.
