  1. Its not going to happen because the charges filed against pokerstars are the equivelant of organized crime/mafia type charges. And the DOJ took a long time building their case and gathering evidence, no way will they ever operate in the US. It would be the equivelant of giving Al Capone a liquor license after he got out of jail for running liquor, it would never happen, and the US dont need pokerstars, a new American equivalent will be made with the old players and new generation of players not to mention the existing brick and mortar players that we all know that never trusted online poker before regulations

I saw a picture of him in the $10K Horse which he is still alive in, and is sporting a deepstack U patch and no FTP logo. I continue to send FTP money via Rake, just at a slower rate than I used to. If it gets locked up, I am not blaming any red pro for it.

Thats easy for you to say, seeing you already stated you have removed the majority of your roll to other sites and have prepared to minimize your losses

I am not disagreeing with you on your above statement, and I don't see why I shouldn't play it conservatively and not risk more than I would be OK with being locked up in the case it happens. From talking to other players in Europe that follow what's happening in the US along, I am not the only one "playing their cards" this way. Its easy to get money back onto FTP if needed, and I don't need a huge roll there to play rush cash games which seems to be the only thing left for me to play there.

  3. Just hope the future of USA poker doesn't turn into national only sites like Pokertstars.us. I miss playing against americans.
  4. So sad to say but if I get my money within the next 6 months I will be playing on ftp again. (if it were available) Never had a problem with cashouts there before this and I sort of blame the DOJ for the problems we're having...
  5. Lots of ifs BUT if FTP paid their US players in full, if FTP were allowed to come back, if FTP offered something of greater EV to me that other regulated sites did not then yes I would give FTP another shot.

Having said that I fully expect never to play on FTP again because all those ifs will never happen imo.
  6. I really enjoyed wearing a tux and playing against turtles and lizards. That was fun....
  7. Anyone who goes back is an idiot. Full tilt should be called Full Shit Poker!

So any possibility FT/PS or whoever may end up selling their software to a land based casino? Seems to be the only way Tilt can salvage anything at this point...

I do miss my penguin avatar :(

I'll probably go back. I'll definitely go back to stars. FTP I'd be more cautious and not keep much of a bankroll on there for awhile though.

Something I thought about though is say online poker comes back and US players are only allowed to play against other US players, how will that effect the evolution of the game strategies?

  10. If they return player funds, segregate player funds, and legally obtain a license in the US, then I would play there again. IMO they had the best software, tournament selection, tournament structure, and rakeback/rewards available (at least for a mid stakes part time grinder).

A lot of people played on UB even tho they stole millions from their customers. So I imagine most people will go back to FTP if they get the chance. I dont think US players will ever get to play on stars/ftp ever again tho...
  12. party poker will be back in the USA in one way or another (either allowed back in or bought by a US company).

Also International Game Technology has acquired Entraction so they will be one of the 1st here too.

I assume WPT.com will be in the mix.

If stars and FT survive they won't be in the US for many years if ever.
  13. When? You mean IF. The answer is never.
You live in a country where the main function of the government is to steal money from the poor and give it to the rich.
The U.S. Government doesn't want money sent overseas that they plan to steal from you.
Unless your in the top 1%. Then you can send jobs overseas and have your cheaply made goods shipped back tariff free to be sold at Walmart... SUCKERS.
Try moving to a free country, such as Russia, Bulgaria, Ukraine et al.
GOD BLESS AMERICA. LAND FOR THE RICH AND THE HOME OF THE SHEEP.
  14. ESPN, WSOP ,AND WHATEVER CASINO WHIPS OUT THE CASH TO COMBINE THESE MONSTERS IS GOING TO BE THE BIG DADDY AND I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THESE CASINOS ARENT ALREADY MAKING THERE OWN SOFTWARE AS WE SPEAK NEW POKER SOFTWARE IS BEING DEVELOPED U HAVE TO KEEP UP WITH THE JONESES AND AT LEAST 1 OF THESE U.S BASED CASINOS ARE IN DEEP RIGHT NOW WITH TRYN TO BE PREPARED........REMEMBER THIS IS SERIOUS LOOT

First off, calm down. Second of all, you really seem to have absolutely no idea how the American government works or any concept of distribution of wealth. Third of all, of all the possible countries you could pick to use as an example of "free" you went with Russia, Bulgaria, and Ukraine? Wtf...

i think he was being sarcastic.

i'm not sure if americans understand this.
  17. Meh.. Everyone is pissed so they say they won't back. Most will though.
  18. ft hasnt payed me since JANUARY, i withdrew 4,000.00 & i'm Still waiting on them, does that answer your question :P lol
  19. well the bill thats out there now for US legislation is not going to go through. the AGA who donates money to the PPA has already said they will not support this new bill, eventhough it was written in part by the PPA. Theres some other bill thats being written up thats supposed to be introduced in the Fall of this year that the AGA is supporting and in it, it clearly states theres simply a 2 yr ban for sites that operated post uiega, so stars and ftp will have an opportunity at some point to come back if they survive long enough.

Here is the link: http://www.egrmagazine.com/news/1677...n-autumn.thtml from July 6

Its a question of 'when' now for US poker, and I personally believe its going to still be at least a year away. Govt stuff moves very slowly and i think theres going to be alot of debate about taxes, jurisdiction, whos in whos out, and how its going to be regulated that is going to take time to be settled. I obv hope it comes back sooner, but just dont see it happening.

edit: as far as going back, if they pay me what im owed, i would go back.
