Anybody know what the state of online poker is in Australia? Are you able to play on pokerstars and Fulltilt or are there local sites that people use? thank for help
-
I've seen people playing on 888 from australia but I would suggest googling this sort of thing. I have no idea what your situation is concerning poker there.
-
Hope you were joking about full tilt, but there are plenty of Australians playing on pokerstars and almost every other major poker site.
-
I first started playing out there on the old Tribeca network before iPoker bought them out. Anyone remember that network?

It would be a shorter list if you only wanted the ones you can't play on.
pokerstars is the way to go if you want a guaranteed seat at a table at any stakes or want to play mixed games.
If you want to grind then you'll be looking at anywhere between 4-10 sites I think to mix up a full schedule.
Pokerstars, party, 888, Carbon, bwin, everest. I'm sure there are more but those are the ones I know take Aus players.
Is OP looking to move out here? -
The only site I have not been able to play is the merge network. I have played all the others without an issue.

Reason: pokerstars would be your best option though -
its illegal for australian based companies to offer the service to australians but its not illegal for australians play. think thats why were not allowed on merge. so anything not australian go for it!

Sounds like you have a decent number of options. Just the fact that you still have pokerstars is awesoome. Will potentially be moving to Melbourne for a few months. Cant wait heard nothing but great things about the city/country
