Its defs an ipoker problem, not just a 770 problem.
I play on the betfred skin, and though the same happens, Fred seems to be the site that gets up and running quicker than any other ipoker skin ive seen.
Last night my m8 im'd me saying he was down on titan though i could sign back in on Betfred and start again playing against i can only imagine other Fred players, the table was 3 handed with every one else on sit out.
Obviously gives an unfair advantage to players on one skin than another. Also ipoker are fkn nitz with refunds when this happens, good luck gettin ur money back. Ive been avoiding big mtt sessions on ipoker alone simply because of this carry-on, and have been playing a few on diff sites just in-case.
This used to be the norm when a big update happened on ipoker, but as far as im aware their hasnt been an update recently, idk, but it sure is truly shit.
I also noticed that u cant check who won the big sunday games on ipoker, im not even sure if they finished legit or not, cos i remember on sunday people complaining on here that they were cut-off from the 200k. Weird. -
that sounds more like a prolonged disconnection? obvious very bad. Mine is more like a client error than a DC, as it says the program has stopped working and will now close. I can then log straight back in no problem.
Interestingly this has only happened since the update last week... Obvious something to do with that.
Guess Ipoker are having a few problems, there 200KG was stopped and cancelled on Sunday too. -
@aces and all: Do you have the casino open at the same time as well or something special / what operating system and anti virus / firewall do you use? Just trying to get more info to help identifying the problem.

There was not really any bigger update as of lately but all skins now implement the new lobby one after the other. Besides that I am pretty much lost as to what it might be to be honest, but the more info we can forward the more it will help them to investigate the issue.

happens for me too.basically just get a notification " Playtech engine stopped working ".
@ Christian i once played blackjack with some poker tables open & it was impossible to close the client for like 10min. when it stopped working. -
yes like smith says above today again 3 times . think it says exactly playtech engine stopped working windows is searching for a fix to the solution.
then after a few seconds of that message it says
due to an error this program will now close.
have a screenshot chris if u want it...??
and no nothing else is opened just a few tourneys. everythign else on the PC working fine.

lol actually tried for myself on an old titan account where I had a few bucks left and lasted about 10 minutes before it crashed ... sigh

It's been doing the same thing to me ever since the update (new lobby).
I've written in to support (back & forth) over 20x. After a close to a dozen emails they admitted to knowing that there is a problem with their software ever since the update (upgrade?).
Best I could get from them was > do an uninstall > re-install. For one day I had no disconnects (but only played a couple of micro mtt's, just to see if it was working ok finally). Very next day.. disconnected (shutdown) again.
On my computer it comes up as DEP > data Execution prevention, then the little window pops up saying it's shutting down Playtech software.
Before the uninstall > re-install I actually had it shutdown on me 9x in one tourney, lol. (took screenshots each & every time... before this they weren't admitting there was a problem).
Since the uninstall > re-install it's been happening ALOT less (usually only once or twice over a couple/few hour span). Playing in a small, private 'Canucks Only' tournament on titan tonight, noticed it was happening to a few others still as well.
It's only happening to me on Titan... no problems on WilliamHill or ChiliPoker (< neither of those two had the new lobby update,.. at least it hasn't on my puter). Also, I've been sticking with the 'old lobby' view for Titan, but mostly cuz pokerprolabs software isn't recognizing the tables while using the new lobby view.

I've been sending emails to titan support since Feb.1st.
I've NEVER (ever) had the casino opened while playing... or anything 'special' at the same time either. There is clearly a HUGE problem with the software since the update... something I'd figure that they'd be aware of by now (I'd guess they've received thousands of emails about it.. but of course support is pretty f'n awful on that site). I belong to another forum where a few of us who play on Titan have been talking about it for awhile (since the lobby upgrade). It'd seem reallyyyy odd for them not to be aware of the situation.
Hope this gets fixed up soon as I've hardly played anything since this has been happening as I don't have confidence in the software while playing on there anymore -

previous poster is right. With a major error like this you think they would be all over it and a fix would be available ASAP. Can you imagine if this was on stars? Can't really.. But id imagine some kind of uproar. Think ppl are just starting to accept that with online poker the software (other than Stars) is gonna have bugs which is really disappointing. party is the prime example - Been around forever and they still have horrid bugs. Like the auto-rebuy button, that their staff explained to me, will NOT auto rebuy when you are all in during the RB period and lose. Well WTF does it say AUTO REBUY for then??!

No news yet, they are still investigating it but since it does appear throughout the whole network, I expect it to be a few days before I will hear back anything in depth as to what is going on since they have to get in touch with Playtech etc. I will keep you posted as usual.

Was happening to me again today... with more frequency again. Happened on bubble of one tourney, raise > 'shutdown'... 'gg', lol. sigh
Christian, don't you think they'd be onto this already awhile ago? I mean I'm sure there must've been ALOT of players emailing support (not that emailing support has much or any effect) about this for a couple of weeks now. It was over a week before support even admitted to me that they knew about the problem.
As far as it being a network-wide problem, fwiw, I had it happen to me ALOT more often on titan than WillHill or Chili (< actually never happened at all on Chili in the 4-5hrs. I played on there, & Chili doesn't have the lobby update yet)
Can't see myself playing on there til' they get this fixed. :( -
Happening to me on both titan and Genting Poker. Now that Paddy Power has upgraded, it is happening the same on there!

titan kept closing on me and I spoke to support and they refused to acknowledge a problem. Switched my role to WillHill and it's better but still happens occasionally. My friends who dont mass table other sites dont seem to have as much of a problem?

having a few problems hope you can help sort them out. have emailed support twice through the 770 site ...no response.
I quite frequently get disconnected. (my problem) but when I do, I instantly loose all my active tables. (dissappear from desktop) when I reconnect I'm sitting out of every table obv I loose whatever bet I have on table then...I need to resize and move every table intividually. this is the second time I have written about this ....no response from first .
]Not to name your competition but when I disconnect from other poker servers tables stay where they are and usually i just reconnect without loosing any bets. (tables just update)
[Is this issue going to be addressed with you sofware in future ?
also. when I play (only when 770 is open) my mouse gets stuck in top RHS of screen. this doesn't seem to be my pc's problem and only occurs when 770is open. also sound is intermittent. playing multiple tables I quite often hear the dealling of 5 (or more) tables in the background (yes very annoying to say the least) and no sound for the active table. to clarify I play on a few different sites with no troubles an any but 770
can give you other details if needed

I wrote ALOT of emails to support & they had been doing the same with me (failing to acknowledge any problem at all), then I began sending in pm's with screenshots attached with that window that pops up saying 'Playtech software is being shutdown'. They then finall acknowledged the problem & said that 'the relevant dept. was aware of it & is working to fix the problem as soon as possible'.

yeh the mouse getting stuck is a nasty one D_d_me_001.
in the mouse settings make sure hide pointer while typing is unselected. that, along wit hthe most recent update didnt completely fix it for me but certainly made it more bearable - before i had to jiggle the mouse around for while to get it to 'break free' of the corner. - you r using dual displays right? do they have different res? it might be to do with that. Weird prob and only ever happens with Poker 770 open.

switched from William Hill to Betmost and still crashin....its definately a ipoker problem, the new update is just f*ck**g things up.. can you guys please fix this. If playtech/ipoker or whoever makes the software was smart they would switch back to how things were before the update and then try to fix the new update in the meantime not try and fix it the sametime the new update is in place. -
Hav'nt played on 770 few a few days due to above but What I've found with the mouse getting stuck (and this only works when you have made your set v's an UTG raise) is to wiggle the mouse crazily, scream abuse at the monitor and pound your desk with your left fist repeatidly.....worked for me anyway !

seriously aces_up ....just using one big monitor, thought I was the only one with the mouse problem though and the weird thing is that, I sent an email to support....(when I did get a response,) they hinted that it was a problem with my mouse and that I should just re install the mouse software or get a new one.
they def didn't acknowledge it could be a problem with their system.
anyway might try again ...see if anything is better. -
I played a bit on WilliamHill (not wanting to play on titan) & of course same thing happening on there & now seems just as often as it was on Titan for me.
I wrote in to support on there, first time acting as if this was something new to me (didn't let on I knew of it happening on iPoker sites) received your typical generic response. Then wrote again & was forwarded to Customer Support Supervisor who insisted that there's nothing wrong with the software that for sure it's just an internet connection issue on my end & that they could 100% guar. this (& then also wrote some spew about how I wouldn't be receiving a refund of my buyins... I never asked for a refund ever!!! & told them it wasn't relevant to what I had wrote to them about).
I wrote back demanding an apology, telling them that I know there's a problem as I've seen others complaining/reporting about exact same issues (& have seen it happening to other players on the tables I'm playing on).
I get another email from WH, this time its from the Customer Support Manager. He firstly extends his deepest apologies for the inconvenience caused. He then went on to explain something about some personal testing he's been doing which has resulted in this > "I suspect the cause of the malfunction to lie in the new client's hardware-compatibility with a certain computer architecture (64-bit systems)."
He had been running the client on Win7 (32-bit) without any issues or crashes. Also, all the workstations used by WilliamHill Support staff are WinXP SP2/3 & all support the poker client, particularly the newly released version (with the lobby upgrade/update).
So I'm wondering if this has any merit? What operating systems are you guys running with? Is this a problem that just WinVista (64-bit) systems are experiencing?

I received an email from ChiliPoker today, telling me that they've joined up with Poker770. They then went ahead & gave me a new password (on my email) telling me that this is how I'll now be logging into Poker770. I've already got an account on Poker770???
So now I have two on there? wtf is that? -
Ipoker runs even worse after the last update.

They gave me a new login sn for Poker770 but crazy enough, it's the same sn I have for my bet365 account. wtf?
