  1. I had a very weird experience with pokerstars and would be interested if other plyrs had similar cases: A few month ago I opened an account with them and transferred some money onto it. The account was frozen after a few days and they asked for additional documentation (passport etc.) to reopen. After providing that they reopened the account but my account balance was back to zero! Of course I contacted them about this and they said they they had transferred the money back to my credit card.
However, no money ever appeared back on my credit card or anywhere else. Even after providing poker stars with written documentation from the credit card company, that I have not received any money from them, they basically answered they couldn´t do anything about it because "...the money is out of our system..."?!
Has anyone had a similar experience or any advice what to do?
  2. Sometimes it takes 2 months to show on your billing statement. When I refund a customer they dont see it for 2 months however their balance on their credit card is immediately refunded/debited the amount of refund. Perhaps thats whats happening to you. Leading you to believe no refund is processed.
If not the case then simply dispute your credit card charge. Simple
  3. Thanks for advice. It´s now already 2 1/2 months since they claim to have sent me money. Will try option two (dispute credit card charge) but not sure whether that is possible since I did actually initiate the money transfer to pokerstars in the first place.

  4. Dispute the charge there is no time limit sort of. 2 1/2 months is fine to still dispute. Sometimes I get an asshole customer make a dispute a year later because he forgot he bought something.
Easiest solution is to dispute charge and the money will be returned to your acct immediately.
They will tell you that they may have to debit it back down the road. Good luck.
  5. This could blackflag him forever with pokerstars. I am not sure if pokersites share any chargeback customers with other sites, but do not think they do. I would try to work it out differently before going the chargeback route if you ever want to play on pokerstars or pokerstars.fr after you dispute.
  6. how much are we actually talking about?

ask pokerstars for the exact credit amount they say they credited and the exact credit card number and the day they said they did it, then go to your bank to sort out, if it isn't there - get your bank to reverse the initial deposit after telling ps what you are going to do

dont get angry with them just yet - they'll black mark you

  7. 300$ so nothing dramatic but annoying never the less.

Interesting is that after talking to my bank they asked for exactly those details to research the case but pokerstars wouldn´t give them to me?? The only gave me an ARN number which my bank doesnt know how to track. However, what is sure (and confirmed by the credit card) is that I have not got any money from Pokerstars back in the time period mentioned.

After the whole case I am not sure I would really mind being black marked by Pokerstars, as long as this doesnt have implication on the other sites where I play.

  8. 300$ is 300$ :(

    Hope you get refunded buddy!
  9. I'm willing to bet you are mistaken on this; that it has been paid back to your card and has either shown up on your statement and you missed it, or your statement is just not up to date.

In many cases, payments get sent back to banks and they don't clear them correctly, the funds end up stuck in the bank's clearing/hodling accounts and will sit there until queried by the account holder and are manually cleared to the customer's account.

  10. Kinda intense thread title,I don't see why they would want to ruin their reputation for 300$

    Just sayin.
  11. Same thing happened to me but i was trying to cashout back to my credit card, it turned out it wasn't a option with the card i had. It took about 6 months and countless emails between myself, my banker and pokerstars but eventually the amount was credited back to my account. Just be patient, pokerstars is the most trustworthy site and isn't going to rip you off. GL
  12. @smithgraham: Fair comment. Just wanted to see whether this is something they regularly do. From comments so far it seems this is indeed a one-off so this gives me hope to eventually get my money back. Nevertheless even if I do get it back this for sure is not a highlight of customer service ;-(
@ mawsond: Thx. Will keep trying.

  13. To answer your question.

    NO!
  14. I agree with wacky. However I dont think they will blacklist you. I would possibly let them know that you feel your only option is to do a chargeback if they cant help you in locating the funds.
I am surprised your CC company is not giving you grief for depositing on stars.
Sites dont exchange a list of chargeback clients. Not that I am aware of.
I actually did it to bodog and now im banned. I have not been able to pay them back yet as none of my cards work now with them. So I have to do western union. However they told me once I bring my acct back into positive they will open me right back up.
I actually am planning on doing so this week as I want to play a bit and bodog seems only trustworthy place for me to play. I dont know if being a customer 10 yrs or so helps my case

I agree with this as well. I also stated to you it could very well be just not showing on your actual statement as of yet however it is refunded and debited from stars immediately.

  15. Final update on this: very good news - the payment processor did indeed not transfer the money back to me (whatever else they did with it?) so pokerstars now after 3 months refunded me the 300$ to my playing account.
@all: Thx for comments and advising me to not give up and trust in Pokerstars honesty.
@freeworld: shame I didn´t take up your bet;-)
