  1. Has anybody played at Pureplay Poker?

I'm tempted to pay $25 per month because a family member said it was good and the checks always clear. What do you guy's think?
  2. im not positive but i think i tryed it years ago, might have been a site with similar name tho... but if it was that site i remember it spamming up my email quite a bit. Also i think you probably don't want to play their if your goal is to play poker for your income, but it could be alright if you are playing for enjoyment. Just not that much money to be made their imo.

  3. i know the wpt does some kind of monthly fee poker site too clubwpt.com ithink

  4. Ok, thanks. I figured it was some type of way to infiltrate the American market in order to earn huge margins. I was reading up on the site and I noticed they give away up to $100,000 per month. I also saw they have approximately 2 million members with 7,000 - 10,000 being subscribed. If my calculations are correct, they're earning $150,000 per month or $1,800,000 per year and only giving away $100,000?

    That's retarded.

    LOL. They are not.

Assuming your base numbers are correct, 150k x 12 months = 1.8 million revenue. 100k x 12 months = 1.2 million given away. Add in overhead and other expenses, it sounds about right to me.

You're right, and I was also including that 1.2 million dollar figure. $600,000 per year for 3 executives and a few employee's is a large amount of income. Also take note they have over 1 million members. I'm sure they have a lot more subscribers than just a mere 10,000.

  8. The $600K has to be cut in further for operating costs though. Its actually not a ton of money (even if profits were $600K based on this example its less though) for someone that took the risk and marketing and other start-up funds to start and grow a site.
  9. Taxes too... If it were that simple to make 600k/year every single person would be doing it. They also have to reinvest in the business to help it grow. Marketing, developing, maintenance, etc.

  10. That's if there are only 10,000 subscribers. Could be more...
