I'm pretty sure a friend of mine, who knew I put in a decent amount of volume on FTP w/o makeup, told me about rakebackpros and I signed up. After a week or so I received an email I believe from FTP that said I "didn't qualify". I'm sure they just denied me because they make the full amount of rake off my account currently and have no inventive to give me rakeback. Any ideas for my next course of action?
Thanks in advance.

In the same boat, signed up way back with an affiliate who didnt offer rakeback. I received a 10k bonus at .04 $/FTP which I suppose was better than nothing (even though they are usually at $.07). The 10k offer expires in December and I cant see playing there anymore.

Have played on FT for a few years and just never thought to ask for rakeback so I sent the email below a few weeks ago:
I love Full Tilt's software and have been a Full Tilt mtt grinder for a while now and am making a move to play poker full time. I have paid quite a bit in entry fees for tourneys and am requesting to get on the rakeback program. If this isn't the right department please forward this to whomever deals with rakeback. Thank you.
Received an email from support within a few days (!) stating that rakebackpros would email me regarding rakeback and was able to get on board this way. Good luck.

Nice.

Also same story. No rakeback still tho. pretty annoying.

OP, I'm with you. I have over 40,000 games played on FTP and a ton of O8 cash back in the day and, when searching for a mac-friendly poker site back when I lost Pokerroom, apparently clicked a link that forever linked me with an affiliate without giving me the option to receive rakeback. I honestly didn't even know what rakeback was at the time, and I have spent 3 years trying in vain to fix this while they continuously deny me and someone has collected a 5 figure amount of rakeback on my account.
This summer I began moving my money off FTP and had small amounts on Cake and UB, where I have rakeback but barely play because there just aren't that many MTTs that can compete the the two big sites, and finally got to the point after chopping the DNG where most of my money was on stars. We all know what happened then... so now I'm completely screwed because I refuse to open a second account on FTP and play on it. It would be easy, it would never get caught, and it's wrong. They incentivize cheating and continue to refuse me with shallow, pedantic emails. Oh, and you have no idea how pissed I was when I found out that other players in my situation who haven't paid nearly as much rake as I have were offered $10,000 bonuses. I got a curt, "Sorry that's not an offer for everyone" email when I found out about that one and have been denied rakeback more than I have been denied access to hot ass.
Now that Stars is not an option while I live where I do, most of my business is unfortunately back on FTP. Do you know how much it blows crushing super turbos without rakeback? I'm very good at them, but rakeback alone would make me many thousands a year if they gave me rakeback and allowed to me grind full time. It's so incredibly stupid because I'd up my volume there so much with rakeback and they'd make more money, but the deal they have with their friends who ripped me off and hoodwinked my rakeback without ever even giving me an opportunity to sign up for it is more important to them than my money.
Full Tilt Doug, you have been great for this community but you are also a legend when it comes to failing to address my legitimate gripes with your company. I'd love just once for you to address this and tell me why your company won't even put me in touch with the affiliate through whom I signed up (I honestly have no idea who it was) so I can work out some sort of deal. I've had plenty of opportunities to cheat, to break the rules, and to create a second account for rakeback, but because I insist on doing the right thing, your company continues to screw one of its most loyal customers.
Make it good one time? If I decide to leave Washington to continue playing poker, I'm going to have to move my money off your site at the earliest opportunity because you continue to refuse to make a simple, logical business decision that is also the right thing to do. You're flat out stealing from JLizard, from me, and insulting your regulars to boot. Seems like a poor business model, and unfortunately, it's one that also comes with a massive likelihood that you will fail to address it in this forum.
JLizard, I hope they hook you up. And me obv, but I'm not holding my breath... -
I went to the food store and they gave me a free drink, but it was so small I complained.

To those who claim that they ended up getting RB long time after they signed up:
Edited By: korjae Oct 18th, 2010 at 04:36 AM
Main reason Full tilt is rejecting OP and many of us is due to the fact we signed up to Full tilt through affiliate (P5, rakebackxxx, pokersource among many) and chose perks they offered instead of rakeback option.
Some of perks include: none (those who misclick), gifts, bonus $, free $, etc, etc.
Did any of you actually get RB later even though you signed up through affiliate?
If so, which affiliate site did you sign up thru in the first place? What perks did you receive from affliate at that time? -
I have shared this opinion many times about FTP....but i'm a sucker and go back just cause
-
yea, I promised ftp at least 50k extra a year in rake if they allowed rakeback on my account but they won't allow it - I've tried going through alot of different people and it isn't happening... Really tempting to join your boycott - for now I just won't play another sng on there even though they're softer than stars. Kinda silly to turn down 50k extra in rake. Anyway yea, I'm with you op - its a buncha bs.

Y'all ask for 60% off everything else you pay for in life?
-

Only when everyone else gets 60 percent off and you don't for an arbitrary reason (ie having been around longer and having clicked the wrong affiliate). -
If it makes those without rakeback feel better, ft just changed their formula for rakeback when they introduced their new black card promotion. By moving to the weighted contribution rakeback calculation full tilt has lined their pockets while effectively reducing cash regs rakeback. So even if you had rakeback full tilt would have just lowered it while telling you it was a new player bonus program.
I know this is more of an mtt site and as I understand it the new promotion isn't bad for mttrs with rakeback, but if you are a cash player you should seriously consider taking your action elsewhere. I've been grinding cash on tilt for about 5 years now and stars on and off for the same period. As a grinder I can't ignore the action at a site as large as tilt, but I can significantly reduce my volume, sell people money from other sites instead, and move my horses. The most consistent qualities I have seen in my dealings with tilt have been greed and minimal effort, maybe some of you got lucky not getting rakeback from them, at least you saw how they did business right up front. -
If FTP keeps denying you rakeback, just cash out all your money in the site, you'll probably be contacted and have rb in less than 24hrs :)

to get rakeback on ftp
sign up to rakebackpros.com
and aslong as you never signed up with an affiliate they will glady sort out your rakeback
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee -
Been out of the game for a couple of years, is there a way to get Rakeback if you already have an established account on PS/FT? If so, what do I do? Thanks for any input!
-
well stars doesnt have a RB option but they have very good bonuses for your first time deposit and they also have milestone bonuses depending on how much you play they are very beneficial as for RB on FTP you can try to email them and see its worth a shot right? just email them and tell them your situation and see what they can do.
-
I think it depends on the affiliate you originally signed up through(if you signed up through one). I didn't get rakeback on FT and emailed them like a year ago about it and they told me I couldn't get it because of the affiliate I originally signed up through. Then out of no where a few weeks ago they emailed me telling me I was going to start getting 27% ... so you may have to wait a year but you may as well send them an email.

Thanks guys!

I have an existing account on FTP but dont get rakeback. Am I able to apply to get it or can I permanently close my account and open a new one through the rakeback offers??
Thanks -
Your post got merged with this thread....generally I'd just close your thread and link to this one. Either way, there are thousands of threads each year on this matter which lead to quite a bit of information being out there about it. For the most concise information, check our FAQ about this:

So full tilt has finally allowed me to receive rakeback on an existing account after 100 emails. Is this something I should be happy about or is it something that They have caved on recently and I just didn't know?

Funny...was just about to post my turndown...wouldnt we call the bolded part "a direct lie"?

Hello XXXXXXX,
Thanks for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support.
You've asked about the possibility of receiving rakeback but at this time, Full Tilt Poker does not offer rakeback directly to players.
There are a number of affiliate companies which offer rakeback if players sign up to Full Tilt Poker through their website. However, it appears that you were referred to Full Tilt Poker from an affiliate which does not offer rakeback. We are unable to switch your account from this affiliate to another, as our agreement with affiliates prohibits this.
We understand that you are interested in such promotions in the future and if the situation changes, our players will be the first to know and we will contact you when we have more news.
Regards,
Edward

Apparently I wasn't linked to an affiliate. Does this mean I should have been allowed to get it all along anyway?
