  1. Ok this is a dumb question I know but say you are sitting at a .25/.50 table and when you get rakeback do you have to be IN the hand/win the hand or do you get rakeback for everyhand you're at the table. Also does anyone know if you 4 table .25/.50 how much you could expect to make back an hour? Thanks.
  2. Hi,

The answer to this question varies depending on which site you're playing on. There are two general ways that rake is calculated:

The Dealt Method (Full Tilt, Cake) divides each hand's total rake by the number of players at the table to determine how much rake you have paid. Example: you're sitting at a table with 5 players and a certain hand's rake is $3. You are tracked as having paid $0.60 in rake that hand. If you receive 30% rakeback, you would get $0.18 in rakeback for that hand.

The Contributed Method (Carbon, betfair) bases the calculation on whether or not you put money in the pot. A variation of the contributed method is called "Weighted Contributed," in which case the rake is actually calculated based on how much you put in the pot compared to other players.

You can use our rakeback calculator to answer the last part of your question. It's in the left sidebar of any page on http://www.pocketfives.com/visit/rakeback/. It's easier that way and to base it on number of hands, as we don't know all key information here such as full ring vs. 6-max, which site you're playing on, etc.

    Best,

    Adam

  3. I did the calculator and I'm not sure if its right or maybe I'm doing it wrong. The max rake at 1/2 is 3 dollars correct? So if I'm playing 6 max 3/6= .5 and then 27% of .50 cent is 13 cents per hand. If i'm seeing 300 hands an hour that should be 39 dollars in rakeback per hour.? I understand rake won't be full rake everyhand so say if we lowball to 30 an hour and say if I play 40 hours a week that would be $1200 dollars correct? When I do the calculator its saying I would get only get 1400 a month back? What am I missing here?
