about 2 weeks ago i received a response from them, though it misunderstood my issue. I responded back immediately but have received nothing since. A lot of people report getting form replies that dont address their specific question, in the rare event that they do get a response.
-
I am not the verge of calling them thieves at this point. After I correctly did my Western Union to some guy in Nicaragia, it told me to wait 30 minutes....that was 4-5 nights ago. I emailed them 3 days ago, and they never responded. I am 69, and this is my first attempt to play poker online, and Ive been robbed. Is this all one big scam????
Is there anyone from Lock Poker here? $250 + $27 and never saw a dime of it. -
I'm so sorry to hear that.. I don't have any info on lock, I play merge. I have to ask though, I you're 69 and have never played before howd you wind up on p5's and lock..? Serious question, family/friends referral, bored and googling around or?
There's a 2+2 thread for lock that gets better responses from reps (Rizen & Shane) that you may want to try, I hear they're quite back logged currently. They'll probably get it sorted out soon enough, assuming you did the wu correctly, and iirc you can call wu and see if it's been picked up.. -
Agree with this. If the OP doesnt know what 2 + 2 is or where to find this forum, it's here:

The long story short is that Lock has had numerous customer service issues and software glitches since they switched networks 3 weeks ago. They are working some of these issues out, but as of now there isnt really a reliable way to ensure that all of your problems are being addressed. If you visit the above link, you can at least keep track of where they are on certain issues and might be able to get the attention of site reps to help with your deposit (other people have posted about similar issues, and I think the resolution rate is mixed at the moment). Basically, I dont think Lock is out and out thieving anyone. But they are definitely putting the onus on you to see to it that whatever issues their crappy software/support is causing get resolved. -
This kind of hits the nail on the head as to why we aren't working with them (and other US-facing sites) at the moment. I don't believe any of those sites have bad intentions. I have met many of the owners and higher ups at ACR, Merge, Lock and others. None of them are bad people from my perspective, nor are they trying to steal from anyone. But they're operating a business in which it's nearly impossible to achieve even the most basic standards of customer service - demonstrating that funds are safe and easily accessible, for example. It makes it pretty difficult to trust them, even if they have the best intentions. Because if a few of these incidents that lead to backlog happen at once or in close succession, it could spell disaster.

thank you for your help. I have never been to the other place to post. It looks very confusing! To answer one question, I had been playing free money poker about 2 years ago but then was unable to log in on the site. US Gov. took it down. Now that im retired i am very bored and thought id give this a try. Luckily I have a saved image of the man I was giving the western union to, and also the codes for the transfer. Deep down I do not think that they are stealing, as it does seem a lot of people have been able to put money on there. Im just little dumbfounded that this had to happen to me.
ps - i will post tomorrow on the other forum. I just spent 15 minutes there and it is not an easy place to navigate. Thanks again for your input. -
Did you go back to the cashier and post the MTN # for your transfer ?
-
Fwiw Ive had two experiences with Lock support...
One was in regards to adding rb to my account shorty after the move to revolution ... Emailed them and got reply about 3 days later and rb was added.
The other was to send in my verification docs... Sent around 11am today received email around 1:45pm today saying verification process was completed and I am now verified for cashout, p2p transfer etc...
Will attempt cashout via WU next I'll keep everyone posted -
Nice....Kinda felt bad for this guy. Hopefully it works out gl...

Not disputing your experience, but there are plenty of us for whom Lock has not responded to emails at all. And many of the problems we've experienced are not self-inflicted. Don't think it's fair to blame the OP here.

He is questioning whether or not its all a scam and thieves. I will defend the site because I have had nothing but great experiences with lock. So I dont want his post to rub off and scare future business away. Lock is a great place to play pokerand Wu deposites usually post within hours. I'm just saying from experience. -
Latest reply from Cake on my 60 day old cash-out request:
Edited By: RANDYPET Jun 27th, 2012 at 09:38 PM
Hello Randy,
Thank you for your email. The cashout is still pending. The reason for the delay is the lack of cashout options available to US players due to actions taken in the US, not by Cakepoker. This means that the check processors are experiencing backlogs.
We cannot comment on your check or say when it will be processed, we simply do not have the information and are not updated by our processors as you may think. The first information we will get is that your check is en-route.
What is important to note Randy is that we have been in business 7 years and have never missed a player cashout yet.
We are hoping you won't be waiting much longer and we will email you as soon as the funds have been sent. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Kind Regards, Kurt -
Cash out with WU and get your scrilla fast. Took 2 weeks for approval and just picked it up this afternoon gg
-
I'm sure most WU deposits are within hours. But, I can tell you, WU WITHDRAWALS are not. More than 10 days now waiting on my withdrawal. It was expected though as I'd seen were some people have been waiting more than 6 weeks. So I'll agree, Lock has been a pretty good option to play poker online just don't count on receiving $ anytime soon. I only made the min. deposit initially though, just to play for fun, so I'm not like in a frenzy or anything. Just stating my true experience.

I requested WD on 6/22 and picked up my money WU 6/28. Pretty painless. Dont expect an email from Lock saying hey your money went through etc. Go to cashier and select history option. Once you have a control # youre good to go. I also had 2 email responses from Lock answering questions in that span.

The only email I got from Lock was saying my request was denied but the automatically re submitted it through supposed new processors? Anyhow figured I would give them props and maybe its getting better....GL -
Do they take the $30 fee out of the withdraw or out of your bankroll? aka if I want to get a Western Union check for $1,000 should I request $1,030 from Carbon or just $1,000? Based off what I've read in this thread I figure WU is worth the $15 extra dollars.
-
Nevermind. Saw the maximum was $900 anyway.
-
From what I saw on Lock, WU takes 10% of whatever you withdraw!
-
You get one free a month. it will cost you $1100 to get 1k initially. Once you get your money from WU you email Lock and they put the 100 back in your account supposedly. I havent got mine back yet but its only been a few hours. But you can only get your fee back once a month.
-
Eight hours after I posted my previous message my payment has been processed.
-
It took less than two weeks to get my payment processed through WU. I just got the email this evening saying it was processed and ready to pickup. I'll get it in the morning.
-
He never said anything about WU withdrawls.
