  1. This exclusive bargaining deal between ft and the group of European investors expires on the 21st. So we'll know for sure by at least then if the deal goes through or not?

edit: date in title should say 21st

  4. At present, players still may not withdraw funds from the website, but players can rest assured that their funds are safe and that a withdrawal method will be available to players in the near future.

It's meaningless until the words come from a credible source like ftp Doug.

Who gives a shit about the hearing. The FTP lawyer said on the 7th that the deal was expected to "close in two weeks" and also I read an article somewhere that the deal between ft and the investors is exclusive until the 21st only. Seems to me like that's the big day. I feel like it's a really really bad sign if, for whatever reason, this particular deal doesn't get made.

  12. I am kind of expecting a busy upcoming 5 or 10 days of ftp news, but it seems pretty unlikely they come out and say deal is done everyone is getting paid, but that would be nice to hear.

also, its just exclusive rights to to make a deal so once it expires simply means ftp can take on other investor offers/deals, it doesnt mean that they have no chance of still making a deal with these current investors
  13. The exclusive negotiating rights between ftp and the group of European investors ends on July 21st, we've been told. There's a hearing in London to address the site's license suspension by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission on July 26th.

  14. Ya but the hearing isn't likely to shed any good light on the situation. Maybe Alderney will air out some more of ft's dirty laundry and make FT look even more unattractive to prospective players and investors. In my mind the big news comes (supposedly) this week when the deal is expected to close (or not close). The longer FT is down the less likely this situation is to end well imo.

  15. god, the deadline is fast approaching. i don't know what to do with myself. should i brace myself for impending GREAT news? or is our best chance at getting a bailout DOA? this is the longest sweat ft has ever dealt me.

  16. Sadly reliable sources have stated that both potential deals on the table ( harrahs and the euros) fell thru

Kinda figured the longer we didn't hear anything the less promising it was becoming. And in reality who would wanna buy this company with all the problems they currently have.

    Can you site any sources?

What are these supposedly reliable sources? You can't just post something like this w/o a link.

  19. Paddy Poker just put odds of 8/1 that all real money games worldwide will seize on Full Tilt on July 27th, the day after the Aldernay Hearing.

Terms are of the wager are whether "Full Tilt will offer real money games on July 27th". Don't think it's a stretch that irrespective of the status of any potential deals, it's unlikely that they will be back up and running the day after the hearing. This is meaningless; just another stab at grabbing headlines by a half-assed attention whoring site.

Why not? They probably have a contingency plan in place to re-open their tables asap once the gaming commission reinstates the license. Even the new owners would work some kind of continuity plan into the deal so they could have things up and running quickly one they get word from alderney.

I would expect delays on the commission side- once something gets suspended, bureaucratic forces take over and nothing happens quickly. Couple that with how slow tilt is on EVERYthing and it's easy to understand the line. Highly doubt that Paddy Poker is setting the line based on any inside info.

  25. I'm guessing no news is bad news :-(

  26. So today's the big day. ft lawyer said deal should close by today. When I wake up I should see big news. I'm not holding my breath tho.
