link isnt working btw -
Speculation about when is pretty pointless, imo. It'll happen when it happens. But I do believe stars is very serious about this
-
Will they seek Legalization and come back to US Soil. I miss those turbo DoNs
-
It's a lot more complicated than that, but it's implicit in all this that part of their goal is to one day be able to in some way offer games to at least parts of the US. That doesn't mean it will be any time soon, or even necessarily guarantee that they'll ever get licensed. But it's possible
-
Hmmmm. I hope this is true. We have heard this story before.
-
God I hope this is true.
-
I've had enough of all this speculation. So over all these news stories until I actually see my money. Already have written it off as gone...

This would be an amazing story IF it came through. The government (like the SEC) will work with large companies to buy others that are struggling to help the economy. Usually, those companies get some sort of break in the deal (I'm pretty sure Chase bought Countrywide in this sort of deal, at a time when nobody in their right mind would buy them...I didn't look this up, so it probably isn't the best example).
To me, there is only 2 logical reasons that PS would buy FTP
1) They are really concerned about their version of Rush poker. Though, I have to think some smart people would be looking at this, and FTP would be worth a lot more if a likely impending lawsuit could happen.
2) PS has a backroom deal that will allow them into the US market when it opens. This is exciting on so many levels (if true). First off, getting a huge site in the US market early on will quicken large tournaments and fields. It also legitimizes the market faster.
Not only that, but I get my FTP money, that I never thought I would see.
I'm getting way way ahead of myself here, but it's Friday, so I'll indulge. If this deal gets done and I get my money, and online poker is going in Michigan in the next 6 months, with PS in the market. At the end of all of this, I might have lost 2 years playing poker online (and had to suffer through live), but it might be worth it at the end. Well, that was a pleasant foray into fantasy land for a minute. -
All I want is an official word from PS that we are indeed gettin our money. 2 times!!!
-
Why is it so hard to believe?..They're obviously going to operate it as a seperate site, probably gonna keep the FTP brand..and make almost double what they are now..With stars operating it, most "rest of world players" will leave alot of money on there..I'm sure they would love to come back to a regulated u.s. market, but I think their post bf traffic has proven that they don't need it..Merciful Monday
-
can they please buy up AP/UB next??

Gambling911 is reporting from it's sources that the AG has signed off on a deal that will allow pokerstars to acquire FullTilt and that announcement should be made next week. All players owed should be seeing their money soon.

Gambling911 may be the "National Enquirer" of gambling news sites, but they have always been spot on when it comes to legal matters and inside legal info. Go to www.gambling911.com for details. -
