  1. Just checked on the Trishelle's Saturday Showdown, or should I say Trishelle's Saturday Sitout. At least 90% sitting out, Trish is sitting as is the whole table she is playing on. Some of the accounts look funny as well: badgone1, badgone2, badgone4, badgone5, badgone6, badgone7, badgone8, badgone9, 2682355, 2654083, 2652642, 2616217, 2613365, 2610456, Maross7333, Maross733, kiki888, kiki8888, kiki888888.

At least 3 full tables sitting out.

Would like to hear the excuse on this one.

Lol the site could have at least made different names for all their fake accounts. That is just hilarious. Obv the saturday freeroll wouldn't have over 100 people in it if 30 was the highest on a weekday....its a sure bet that those are sure bet bots/fake accounts.

this absolutely needs to be adressed
  5. Still waiting on reasoning.. I was considering going back to sure bet but will hold off until I hear something about these bots/fake accounts
  6. But actually.... how can there be no explanation/repercussions?

  7. Where's the DoJ when you need them?
  8. Hello,
Would be perfectly happy to address this issue. These are people who have tried to set up multiple accounts on Sure Bet Poker. The reason they are sitting out is because they signed up for the freeroll before we blocked there accounts. Working on stopping this from happening again but will continue to reply to any questions on the thread.

Smokerock thank you for bringing this to my attention

Just checked the tournament for this week it looks good now, but make sure you dont see anything strange.

    thanks,
    Jason

Also thanks to Vic-Vegas for pointing out this issue as well.
  9. are u serious? people starting up multiple accounts and calling themselves the same name plus one extra number??? these people must be the grand stupid of the stupid, seriously i can't accept this.......
  10. Accept this?
  11. i don't think the reasoning is correct, there are not enough dumb people around to set up these multiple accounts.....are there?, then again I doubt that the site itself is dumb enough to do it either......I just can't believe it has happened, how many actual players were there in this freeroll......4?

op said 90% sitting out, equals three tables, so out of 36 over 30 were sitting out and now you are saying that these 30 odd players were possibly only 2-4 players - is this a joke?

how can your systems allow this ma'ing to happen? especially when they are using the same friggin names - rofl

this just doesn't instill the confidence to join...
  12. I completely understand and we are working on fixing the issue.

    thanks for the help
  13. "The reason they are sitting out is because they signed up for the freeroll before we blocked there accounts"

This doesn't make sense plus you didn't block them until about 8 hrs ago. When I went to bed last night (8.5 hrs ago) there were 11 badgone and 3 bad accounts signed up for the freeroll.

How do we know there are not more multiple accounts? What if someone made accounts but was smart enough to use different names?

Why did it take you so long to post about this? You said you were going to check in on the thread more often? You have time to twitter but not take care of you poker site?

What happend to your surebetpoker.net wedsite?

  14. http://surebetpoker.com/ is still up.
There were people probably signing for the free money, but why they would enter the freeroll multiple times doesn't make sense to me unless they were unaware of multiaccounting rules. Either way, with these people sitting out of the freeroll it didn't have any unfair advantage to any real player playing there if I understand correctly.
  15. I didnt know there was a new thread since you we finished our advertising venture with P5's. Sorry about the delay I will try to pay more attention to this thread as well.

  16. I posted the op on Sat when the freeroll was still on and it was in the officiall sure bet thread (the 7th), it was moved here on the 9th.

Any news on what is happening with people creating multiple accounts?

Just curious what is happening with the http://www.surebetpoker.net/ site? I mean if you are going to have a link about that says your pros play on it and if you are going to promote it on http://jasonsallman.com it should be working.

  17. More of the same, multiple accounts and this time it helped badgone5 win some money (finished in 8th for $4.50). Still think it's not a big deal? If the site can't stop this then it can't stop players colliding and it destroys the integrity of the game. With Jason being a professional player this is a freaking joke.

    Here some of them bad1, bad2, bad3, badgone1, badgone2,badgone3, badgone4, badgone5, badgone6, badgone7, badgone8, badgone9, badgone11.

These look funny to but not sure: csaba.10, csabi127, csabikas, csabo127, csadesz (came in 5th), poker13, poker25.

And no Trish again, hard to get a "special prize" when you can't knock her out.

  18. Dude, both of these websites are a joke, neither is setup correctly and there is nothing on them....wtf???

If you hover over the tab of the surebet one the highlighted text says.....cash advance debt consolidation......wtf is this?

I would get everyone off of this site asap and remove any reference to it in the P5's site, just in case.
  19. what? u dont trust an unfinished site with lots of collusion on it? whats wrong with u guys..
  20. In the old thread I was contemplating whether to join or not, but to me it didn't sound as if all was done in a professional matter. Unfortunately I guess nothing at all has changed ... .
  21. Where is Jason?

Support surebet that does not respond to e-mail! = (
  22. lol, what do you expect, site is half functional at it's best.
  23. Surebet poker has a Costa Rica license, here is the info on what that license is:

    Costa Rica Gambling Overview

The Costa Rican Government does not have specific laws regarding online gambling. According to Costa Rican law, it is illegal to receive money from a game with a random outcome, as opposed to an outcome based on skill. This would make it illegal to earn money from games such as blackjack, baccarat and roulette, but legal to earn money from games such as card games and rummy. Costa Rican law states that wagering does not take place at the physical location of the operator’s gaming servers. Because of this, companies that reside within Costa Rica can legally offer online wagers to customers all over the world, as long as they do not accept wagers from residents of Costa Rica itself.

    More Lack of Legislation

Another result of this lack of legislation is that most companies are self-regulated – gaming companies are not subjected to the regulations, monitoring and testing in the same way as they would be in other jurisdictions. This allows the operators a great deal more freedom to operate as they see fit. The disadvantage of lack of regulation for these operators is that in mid-2007, gaming websites based in a jurisdiction that does not meet certain strict regulatory laws, would be banned from advertising in the UK.

In 2008, Costa Rica and the United States reached a settlement agreement regarding compensation over US gambling restrictions. Costa Rica was claiming compensation for the closure of the US online gaming market to Costa Rican operators. Costa Rica accepted an offer from the US of better access to other service markets, such as research and development, technical testing and analysis and storage.

    Costa Rican Gaming License

Companies are not issued with a gaming license in Costa Rica due to the illegal nature of gambling within Costa Rica, however the license for offshore gaming operators is referred to as a data processing license and these companies are not subject to betting or gaming taxes. Taxes in Costa Rica are subject to territoriality and therefore any business income with a foreign source is tax exempt, although in 2010 this is currently under consideration regarding whether a 2% tax on gambling activity will be introduced. These licenses are, in fact, not strictly necessary in order to operate an online gaming operation from Costa Rica, however most companies apply for the license in order to appear reputable to their clientele.
