I just got an 11 dollar satellite coupon on merge and was looking to play an event in the poker maximus series. Many of the events were for eleven dollars, some offered 15k guaranteed all the way up to 30k guaranteed. If they are both for the same price, wouldn't it make sense to play in the 30k, or am i missing something?

yes, it means that there will be more players, which means more variance...
-
i'm sure there have been people who have played the warm up over the sunday mill in the past, it's all about your preference on whether or not you want a larger field.

Ok fair enough. Still u can substract the player in the warm from the players in the SM and u kinda get the amount of satelite players in the SM. That number is still inaccurate because some have only time to play the WU but cant play the SM since they need to get up early or so. Less players also means tougher field, so this shouldnt really be an argument. Obv op can enter whereever he want, but it would make more sense to choose the tourney with higher prize pool because occasional players shouldnt worry about variance that much in the first place. They usually play to win big.

but yeah thats how quickly "exactly 0%" becomes "<10%" ;) -
yeah, i get what you mean, obviously i'd definitely go for the 30,000, just trying to tell him the difference as he doesn't understand why people WOULD choose the lower guarantee.

I think I would go for the 30k, but my goal is to try to win some money, since my bankroll is at zero now. I know its proper tourney strategy to go for the win, but I am gonna ignore that for now, what would be the best tourney to enter to just look to cash
