I requested a check from Cake this morning (May 19th) at 9am edt.
Edited By: Cabo May 19th, 2011 at 03:05 PM
I then sent them an email asking how long it would take to process and for me to receive the check, and received the following response:
"Thank you for your email. Generally speaking, checks take up to 10-15 business days to reach you. However, I'm afraid we are experiencing withdrawal delays at the moment so it may take a little while longer. We will email you as soon as your check has been sent."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At 9:45 edt I also submitted the required information (drivers license & utility bill) to Players Only (PO) to be able to receive a check from them.
I immediately received the following from PO:
"We have received your email and are assigning it to a representative. If you sent in documentation which was unclear or further information is required to resolve your account issue, you will be emailed as soon as possible with a detailed description of what we still require.
Please note that it can take up to 48 hours for us to fully review the information, so we kindly ask that you remain patient.
To help track your inquiry you have a unique reference code, xxxx. Please use this code in any further communication."
I will update this thread as things progress.
Hopefully this will provide all of us with how the actual process goes and how long it takes. -
Cool should keep us updated
-
5 day update:
Cake: Cashout by check still pending as expected
PO: The 48 hours they said it would take to process my ID has come and gone.
They now say: "The time frame at the moment approving documents is up to 72 hours, you will be receiving an email once this is ready.." -
I've found that Cake will be upfront and honest with you in these regards. Most of my checks from then have come within 2 weeks. I've had 1 that took longer (right around black friday) that took 1 month but when I emailed asking what was going on at the 2 week mark, they told me it should arrive within another couple weeks which it did.
-
Clowns... don't think i'll ever see my money.
-
2 week update:
Cake: Cashout Still Pending
PO: No word from PO on my documents after 2 weeks so I did a live chat with them today.
I was told I hadn't sent in a utility bill and that has caused the delay. I told them I submitted my DL and a bill at the same time in a single page attachment. They transferred me to a supervisor who looked at my attachment and saw both were there. He gave me $35 cash in my account for my "trouble" and said I could go ahead and request a check.
I asked the supervisor how long until I have a check in hand, he said; "The current time frame we have right now is 4-6 weeks due to the availability of processing partners."
So 2 weeks in my documentation has finally been approved by PO and I am waiting on checks from both Cake and PO.
I'll update in a week or so if I have anything new to report. -
Sweet Cabo thanks fo doing this

We did have a technical issue last month affecting cashouts which has now been rectified our cashier team is currently clearing the back log and we hope to have all payments processed as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience this delay has caused.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Kind Regards
Liam" so I read this email and I am like woohoo I am going to get my money then 3 days later my withdrawal is STILL pending in my account I email again and get this response "
Thank you for your email. Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay with your withdrawal.

CakePoker Support." now I am back to square 1... sounds like they have "rectified" nothing as stated in the 1st email. this is terrible, really upsetting knowing that they get your money as soon as you buyin, but when you cash out you get this big run around, I wish next time i deposited i didn't have to post up and could tell them " your check is in the mail " -

Keep us posted! -
STILL PENDING....last post 6days ago....................
-
mine is still pending as well....fucking brutal, people have told me in the ring games that they have requested checks as far back as april that are still pending, its just ridiculous.
-
my check processed and will be here Wednesday. I have a fedex tracking number. BOOOOOM!

I received my Players Only check via Fed Ex today!
The process began on on May 19th with my submitting my ID. It took two weeks to process my ID and then another 2 weeks to have a check in hand.
In this environment I feel like this is a good job on their part.
Cake: Cashout still pending. -

I made my cash out request on cake on May 7 and yep!! Its still effing pending. I have sent multiple emails regarding this but it seems very "hush hush" on the reason for the delays on withdrawal requests. I had no idea a month and a half after my request it would still be pending. It is very frustrating. I just dont understand why everything else you do at Cake is exceptionally speedy, such as email response time, id verification, and deposit processing.
This just leads me to beleive they arent processing cash outs at all right now. Who in the USA has received a check from Cake recently and how long ago did you initiate your request? -
Still Pending...May 4th Requested....from Americant

Still Pending...May 10th Requested....from America. Many emails have been sent to cake support but the result is the same.

Looks like it is taking about 6 weeks now for Cake.

Well you have to figure that after every tournement and cash session the winners are instantly hitting the cashout button. Its overwelming for these sites after the traffic shot through the roof. It all comes down to we were all spoiled by the pace of the B3. I know you want your money before the DOJ gives them a visit. If you notice a lot of people are waiting but eventually getting whats theres. Patience my friends.

Thanks for the info.

Now Im getting even more frustrated with why my cashout request still hasnt been processed.
Especially when one of you guys who started the process on may 4th said you got urs approved 3 days ago and another dude got his approved from may 10th already why am i still waiting on my may 7th request!?!?!
Cake should def give out some sort of compensation for this huge inconveinance. tournament dollars would be the best but shit, offer something. -
A long time ago when carbon/PDC were poker.com they told me that they processed checks on a certain day consistently. Recently i asked PDC aka Merge when what day of the week they processed checks and they said that any day, i asked again a few days later and they told me on a certain day, i asked again a few days later and they told me all days/ any day. Merge does not have smart well trained support. I withdrew from them april 14 and received the check may 1st, went through on may 4th in my bank. Cake does seem to have well trained support that are much faster than merge but they don't obviously lie, instead they just say they cant or wont share information with you because the contract you have with them doesn't day they have to share information about check with the player. I asked cake poker what day they process their checks and they told me they cant tell me that, as well as they "CANT" give an estimate for how long it will take, prob because cake is biting there nails waiting for a lawsuit on a breach of contract to be legit and them get sued mad money, with everyone following in the foot steps of the first. I asked cake if they could tell me what bank i would receive my check from, they told me they cant tell me. I asked him "because he didnt know or because he wasn't allowed to tell me", he responded" i cant tell you the answer to that. " in regards to

My friend cashed out may 10th, his check was processed on may 30th and came june 3rd, I cashed out may 18th, and am waiting on june 24th 2011, that is 24 days for him and 37 for me. Then there is ayflore who says he cashed out may 7th so 48 days, so i think they process checks on a certain day because of this, if they didnt then everyone would get there checks in the order of withdraw. As an example on the day you withdraw there are 100 other check withdrawals it seems to take longer than if ya get lucky like my friend who had 20 perhaps, they may use different banks or bank accounts on each day of process.Cake before black day was use to having a few check withdrawals on each of these days i predict, so you would receive your check in 2 weeks, now ive heard from a few people 4-6 weeks, but some seem to take up to 8 weeks. 2 MONTHS!!!!!Originally Posted by ayfloresjr

Cabo was given 35 dollars for having problems with verification.
If you have any proof that they had an error in processing your card then use Cabo's info...they can't give one person money and not the rest that is prejudice and very poor ethics.
Cabo what is your screen name on cake?
does anyone know which bank the checks usually come from or what bank their check came from?
I heard that they send out the request for check to the bank and then wait for the check to get sent back to them then they send the check out is that true?
If that is true then we should be able to call the bank or a a bank regulator and ask them if they have processed our check yet.
Reason: additions and error fixing -
ANYBODY GETN CHECKS IN THE USA ???????

Hello Xxxxx,
Thank you for your email. Please be informed that these delays have been caused by recent changes in our Cashier system (introducing new deposit option, improving the credit card deposits success) which is still causing backlogging delays with certain transaction which have to be processed to or from a Poker account. We are working with high pressure to have this finally resolved in order to ensure that these cash outs will be processed again in the expected timely manner in the future.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Kind Regards,
Mark

Thank you for your email. At this point we do not have a definitive timescale for these payments and i would not like to increase your frustration by giving you a date for payment that comes and goes, we are currently working on this issue and hope to bring you some more information as soon as possible. Sorry again for the unfortunate delay.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Kind Regards

I'll give Cake support one thing ... they respond quickly with their lack of information! -
The worst thing is that you cant deposit while your cashout is pending. And since the min. cashout is $500, I requested one once I got over $600 and lost the rest of my roll. So now Ive got to wait forever to put some more money on cake, though with the way cashouts are going Im not really sure I care to.

A full 2 months today and still nothing from Cake. (I received my merge check on June 14.)
I emailed Cake Tuesday and got nowhere, and no new news.
I did ask that they compensate me for the delay by way of some kind of bonus, they said no. I then said "I will cancel the cashout and redeposit the money if you will consider it a deposit and give me a deposit bonus." They said no.
I am not happy with Cake. I know these are difficult times to move money but they ought be willing to offer some kind of compensation or incentive to us players that have been waiting a long time for our money.
