Now, as far as "reality", I see it this way. I got as lucky as one could get coming back from 1mil plus to 17 k: however, when I was back to even and my very talented H'sU partner open pushed 20plus hands in a row, not much different was going to happen. I sat, waited and called with kx or better. I mean "really", what did you think would happen folks??
It was super sick to come back on "Theman200050" like that, and I'm not sure I would have reacted any better, I can only hope I would. I think he played a great game and I see his stats back up what I assumed, one great player, well done Theman200050!! -
All I said was fuck this shit if you are talking about reacting. Don't even begin with me please. You stood no chance and STAND NO CHANCE against me in REALITY. EVER. Tell your buddies at hogwild good job. I thought this was a pocket fives only tournament? You joined today. I'm new to time travel so someone help me out.

Pissed off.
Edit: For ones who don't get the point.
Pocket fives has a "Pocket Fives Only-tournament". The tournament is on August 23rd, 2012. The winner opened an account August 24, 2012. I need a mathematician please. -

Have to agree with you. The winner has done nothing for the community and only joined because he found out about the tourny on one of those freeroll watch websites. Hopefully this is addressed sooner than later -
You took a couple runner runner bad beats HU and lost out on a tv that's probably worth like $200. Calm the hell down and act like you've been there before.

As far as your other comment, no argument there. Obviously these promos are just a cheap marketing scheme to get people to open accounts at hogwild, but it would be cool if a "P5s only tourney" was only open to existing P5s members, rather than to any freeroll whore who stumbles upon the promotion. -
To be fair it was a Hogwild/P5s tournament. I've seen Glenn West on Hogwild quite often. The more the merrier, I was pulling for Mejah. Maybe you guys can go hu4rollz when pokerstars comes back.
-
To be fair, this is what it said in the first post of the thread. First sentence actually.
"On Thursday, August 23rd at 9:00pm ET, HogWild Poker is giving away a 32" LED HDTV to the winner of a special PocketFives-only tournament. "
What am I missing? -
He obviously gained entry to the league by clicking a link to sign up on Hogwild. Maybe blueberleez can give you one of his TVs I bet he's got em just laying around unopened. btw cry more.
-
You won some hogbucks didn't you? Wanna sit at a HU table and we'll play for your roll?

Unless Dan's post above was mistaken, this was a freeroll for P5 members on hogwild, not hogwild members who may or may not be P5 members. I played the thing more for the opportunity to have fun and trash talk with other P5ers than I did for the chance to ship a free tv. During the last P5's open I recognized at least 50% of the other players. Last night I recognized only 1 the entire tourney. I dont typically go out of my way to play freerolls with 300 play money champions from hogwild poker. I was expecting to play against a bunch of P5ers. No biggie tho. -
Edited By: theman200050 Aug 25th, 2012 at 01:57 AMExactly my point. I would never enter a freeroll open to everyone for a f****** TV. I thought it would be cool to play w P5er's or what not and some of the people I've seen on here. I'm never in my life going to enter an open, winner take all, 250 man tournament for a TV. Also, I was 10 tabling while playing that tourney, so it obviously doesn't mean the world to me.Originally Posted by MeJahAndOmaha

It also said this. It makes it sound like you can register on Hogwild without being a p5 member. I'm sure it was an honest mistake.

All U.S. players are welcome. To sign up for the game, click on "Tournaments & Leagues" in the HogWild lobby. Then, type "Special" into the search box and select "PocketFives Special Games League". You must manually register for the tournament there in order to play.
If you're not familiar with HogWild Poker, it's a U.S.-facing site that specializes in running poker leagues. It also funds players with live staking packages every month. PocketFives runs a free league at HogWild Poker as well, so check it out by signing up.
E-mail us at support@pocketfives.com with any questions. All prizes must be claimed by August 26, 2012. -
Admit it you're sore cause a Canuck beat you.

I love Canada. I'm from Indianapolis and went to Windsor like 10 times. Few good memories I have of Indy. I'm trying to move to Vancouver as soon as I become decent at this game. So, no, nothing against Canadians. Except the way they F****** talk. I hate it

Kidding
Edit: But can I get Dan, or another Mod, or a Hog wild Rep in here to give their opinion? -
Thanks for your comments and for your e-mails today as well. We've spoken and have decided to award you a second TV, theman. Please e-mail support@pocketfives.com to arrange your prize claim.

Next time, we'll be more specific as to whether a person needs to be a member of PocketFives or merely a reader of PocketFives in order to qualify. This tournament was open to all of our readers, not just members.
This game obviously wasn't rigged in any way. Glenn, the tournament winner, doesn't work for HogWild or PocketFives, so we definitely want to make that clear. We definitely want to thank the 300 people who played and look forward to doing more for the PocketFives community and readership in the future! -
Hi, Dan:
I finished in 21st place in the TV tourney and haven't received my .6% of the 40,000 Hogbucks prize payout, which according to my math is 240 Hogbucks. Thanks for all you do.
Shawn PokerRoman1 Murphy -
Shawn, you'll need to contact HogWild Poker for anything related to Hog Bucks. Thanks for playing.
