  1. Since many people already joined Full Tilt and other major sites through your affiliate links, will you be doing anything to assist in them getting rakeback utilizing your new program?

  2. MS,

Unfortunately it has been years since any of the links on P5s were for the type of affiliate accounts that could be used for rakeback. We'll always double check for players to see if we can help them out, but in most cases we won't be able to convert a existing Full Tilt account into a rakeback account.

    EDIT:

Just to clarify on this, since I'm sure my answer was pretty vague, there are several different types of affiliates. The kind of affiliate that pays rakeback is a "revenue sharing" affiliate. This means that the affiliate receives a percentage of revenue generated by their sign ups. Other types of affiliates include CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) and flat rate advertisers. CPA affiliates receive a flat payment for each player that joins via their links and flat rate advertisers simply receive a monthly rate for advertising.

PocketFives stopped signing up new players via revenue sharing accounts on almost all poker sites quite a while ago due to some legal concerns we had while living in Tennessee. Although our business moved down to Costa Rica last year, we never switched back to revenue sharing accounts.

We realize that there are some number of people who may have signed up in the past for Full Tilt by clicking through a link on our site. We'd like to be able to do something for those players, but in the vast majority of cases it simply isn't possible, as we aren't receiving revenue sharing on those players that can be used to pay them rakeback. We have over the years offered numerous special promotions exclusive to players who signed up through our links. Unfortunately rakeback is one we have to reserve for new players who sign up through http://www.pocketfives.com/visit/rakeback/.
