  1. I know Merge has their 100k Gar for $109, where else should I be playing on Sundays if I am in the USA? A list of Guarantee, usual player pool, and Buy in would be awesome, thanks
  2. Pretty much all you have to play besides that is the Bodog 100k $162. It's been around break-even in terms of meeting guarantee lately

  3. US players can still play on Bodog?

  6. Don't play the $100K on Merge, unless they have a wire transfer option for large amounts that I don't know about. The max check that you can withdraw is $2,500 and it takes over 2 months to get a check. I don't know how you would get all that money offline if you win it. I requested a check on August 31st and it is processed and I should probably get it in a few days. I understand that checks are going to take longer to process these days, but 2 months is a long time to wait. This is the 3rd check that I have requested from Merge over the last 6 months, the first 2 took about 6 weeks each. I don't play too often online these days, only when I'm really bored. Only keep a small amount of money on Merge, sooner or later they will likely get shutdown and I doubt that they have the money to cover all of the players balances.

  7. Ya that is insane CalB. I know this is specific to me (and other ppl who have moved) but I have a place in Canada that I should be able to cash out to if I won. I would hope those cash outs would go more smoothly then those in the US. Was just wondering what tournaments were worth playing when I was unable to get up North to play on the bigger sites.

Do any non-US residents know if you can play on party poker if you are traveling in the US?

  8. If I had my own place in Canada, I would register on stars with my legitimate Canadian address and verify everything with stars. Then I would setup a private VPN server with root access at my Canadian home, and route my US connection through it. Make sure you understand how everything works on the technical side, because all it takes is one mistake and you're finished. Make sure you never connect through your unmasked US IP (or lose your account/funds). As for the strictly legitimate options: merge and bodog are the complete list.

I def would NOT do this.
  11. Ya i have no intention of trying to play through a VPN on stars, if my account was frozen my ability to make an income would take a huge hit. I was just wondering what my options were when I was stuck in the States on the weekend, I guess they are few!

  12. Definitely do not do this unless you like losing money.

PokerStars has frozen the accounts of many U.S. poker players logging on to the site and playing from within U.S. borders while attempting to mask their true location by using a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

A number of players have recently reported that their PokerStars accounts have been shutdown while playing on the world’s largest poker site from within the United States. One particular player stated that PokerStars informed him that his account would remain suspended “pending further legal review.

No, you can't. They block the IP by default.
  14. It is possible to xfer cash out of merge creatively using other methods, but, it would suck to try to get 20k off that site. Anyone have any success stories with this?
