I'm a big fan of the 5 + .5 STT on Ultimate Bet. I've won many of them and place in the money a majority of the time. But a few hands have been burned into my head, especially when there are 4 people left. I had pocket 2's on small, called the big for another 50 chips, and got a check from big blind. Flop comes down, 10 8 2. I figure my set is good. I check it trying to get a bet from the big blind seat, who was also short stacked that that point. He bets 200, I re-raise to 600, happy to take the small pot that that point or get a call from him. My eyes lit up when i saw an all in re-raise, I call. He flips over Q 10. So he has to hit runner runner to win. The longshot of all comes out. No flush is possible. But a 9 on the turn and a J on the river dash my hopes of taking out the 4th place and go into the final 3 with a commanding chip lead over both players. Instead, I sat short stacked at the table and get beat by pocket J's with my pocket 10's a few hands later.
