  1. I was just playing a session on pokerstars, running pretty horribly and getting distressed emotionally, as we all do when we receive a string of bad beats in whatever format of poker you play. As I was playing, I received news that a young Vancouver girl I knew lost her life tragically due to some personal issues. It really puts everything into perspective, as tragic events usually do. All the bad beats and hard times we receive in poker or personally really are so insignificant in the grand scheme of life. Cherish the ones you love and be grateful for yours and your loved ones health and happiness, the small things should never effect the way you live your life.

    Good luck at the tables.

  13. i know you loss put thigs is perspective for you and i really appricate the post you made, sometimes things like this really makes you think about how sometimes we all take life for granit, life is a thing that should be cherished and loved, its sad like in times like these you tuely notice about of precious life is, just always try to know that there are so many morethings that are important than a game of cards, cards isnt life and a few bad beats arent going change anything, life is a fragile thing and the scary thing is that you never know what god has planned for you. this post really made me think and im going to strive to not take for granit waking up everyday and compalining during 6am workouts or what not, you just never know when its your time. live life to the fullest with no regrets.
  14. My condolences..

Only recently did I have this very same realization...
  15. At the end of the day, poker's just a game. It's tough to keep that in perspective some times tho.
