  2. I'm going to suggest that if you want hand advice, you post without the result of the hand, so that people don't see the bad beat you took (if you're posting in another forum besides bad beats, that is).

  6. I told sandwhich this was a bad play, but would like to hear others thoughts...

First I do not call the raise with 33... Sure the EV is high that 1in8 times it hits, but is it as high as the amount of chips you lose the 7in8 times you miss. It cost you 450 more to see the flop, if you lose 7 times that is 3150, it is not possible to win that many chips here so it is -EV play.

You are coin flip at best against any hand that does not have a 2 or 3 in it... and if they raised i dont think they have a 2 or 3.

Now what type of hand may push all in here? maybe TT, 99, 88, 77 all of which dont want to see you catch a higher card, and they would be right most of the time to think you have a higher card. Sure All in is a risk with with the J, but it is only one over card.

if you knew his cards were what they are, you are still only a 60-40 favorite to win, not exactly overwhellming.

Now if your hand holds up great, you made a lucky call, but i just dont like the call preflop to begin with.

    Others thoughts?
  7. I hope you put him on 22 because that's the only hand you can beat at showdown. LOL

I echo the setiments of the bad preflop call. Set-farming in a raised pot is acceptable when it's less than 10% of your stack and ideally around 5%.
