Thank you. I received my check by FedEx yesterday. I'm satisfied, but I have to say it was a little confusing. It was just a check in an envelope. I actually didn't even realize what the check was for until I came here for an update and it hit me. I spent my lunch today calling all over trying to figure out who sent me a check out of the blue. It all makes sense now.

I assume you have read that Bovada's intent with the new changes is to run off (get rid of) winning players that withdrawal too often. They they have made the changes with the INTENT to attract "net depositing, recreational players". That's their words, not mine! I see that as a clear admission that they "rig" their games for a desired outcome! But you and I both know that reality is, someone (or something) is going to win! And it stands to reason, if they are successful in attracting a majority of "net depositing, recreational" players, then it should be a gold mine for better players. A virtual "fish bowl", right? So, what other actions can they (will they) take to limit withdrawals? Because guys like you may have downswings but a shark in a fishbowl? Come on, pretty quickly you eat up all the fish and find a new bowl. But if they tweaked the RNG just a little bit, perhaps they could move all or part of your BR around to the little hungry " net depositing" fish.

Their whole line of new bs is a joke. But I believe they are serious about their intent to make Bovada a site where players just basically swap dollars and BRs. And I don't believe the cosmetic changes alone will accomplish that, do you?

my story is strikingly similar usmarine. the day after i cashout, i was playing a small stakes cash game. was dealt KK and i raised 5xBB. Opponent called with J9. Flop was 238. I bet hard, and opponent still called. turn was a J, in which I went all in and he called again. At this point I'm way in the lead but have a funny feeling. Wouldnt you know, the river was a 9.

this to me was clear evidence of a bot and rig system. what idiot would call x5BB with j9 in the first place? and then to continue calling post flop yet pre turn? the overwhelming occurence of weak hands being rewarded on the turn or river is unacceptable.

i continue to use it as a sports bookee, but otherwise i would advise to remove this from your computer altogether. hope you can find an alternative. gluck!

Great post, OP. Very similar experience here. Cashed out last week for the first time. Since then, one bad beat after another cooler. The straw that broke the camel -

$11 DS tourney. Level 1. Blinds 10-20. All stacks are 3000.

UTG limps 20. I raise to 90 with AA from UTG+1. SB calls. UTG calls. Pot 290.

Flop AK4 with two clubs. I have ace of clubs.

Small blind checks. UTG shoves 3000. I call with nuts. SB calls.

Turn deuce. River 3. No clubs.

Small blind shows 44 for flopped bottom set.

UTG shows TEN FIVE offsuit (no clubs) for runner runner straight against two flopped sets, mine being nuts on the flop.

I HAVE BEEN PLAYING BOVADO FOR SEVERAL MONTHS NOW AND JUST SEEM TO NOT DO WELL ON IT. I AM A GOOD PLAYER - SOLID AND CONSISTENT. I NOTICED THAT I WOULD WIN A TOURNEY AND THEN LOSE SEVERAL IN A ROW. FOR EXAMPLE I WON $275 IN A $10 BUY IN SCHEDULED TOURNAMENT - THEN LOST IT ALL IN A MATTER OF DAYS - GENERALLY TO BAD BEATS.

I HAVE BEEN PLAYING A LOT THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS AND NOTICED THAT I CANNOT SEEM TO WIN - NO MATTER HOW I PLAY - OR WHAT I PLAY.

RATHER THAN SIT AND WHINE ABOUT IT - I DECIDED TO LOOK AT IT FACTUALLY AND STATISTICALLY AS THE LOSSES WERE JUST CRAZY.

SO I TOOK THE LAST 5 HANDS THAT I LOST THAT TOOK ME OUT OF A GAME. WHAT SHOULD BE STATED AT THIS POINT IS THAT THESE HANDS WERE ALL IN ONE DAY - IN A MATTER OF HOURS - AND ALL IN A ROW. HERE ARE TWO HANDS THAT I LOST THAT I FIND VERY INTERESTING - ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING HOW HIGH THE STATISTICAL IMPROBABILITY IS.

I WAS IN A 9 MAN TOURNEY AND PUSHED IN MIDDLE POSITION WITH AQ SUITED. THE TABLE WAS VERY AGGRESSIVE AND I FELT THIS WAS A PERFECT CHANCE TO COLLECT SOME BLINDS AND PRIOR CALLS IN THE HAND - OR IF I WAS CALLED - I WAS GENERALLY GOING TO BE A FAVORITE. I GOT TWO CALLS - SURPRISING ENOUGH BY ITSELF. THE FIRST CALLER HAD AQ AS WELL - AND THEN THE SECOND CALLER HAD AA. THIS MEANS THAT EVERY SINGLE ACE IN THE DECK WAS DEALT TO THE PLAYERS IN ONE HAND. THE ODDS OF THAT OCCRUING ARE ASTRONOMICAL LOW. PLUS THE PLAYER WITH AA HAD BEEN GETTING SOME VERY ADVANTAGES CARDS DURING THE WHOLE GAME - WAY OUT OF LINE FOR NORMAL PLAY.

SECOND HAND - I WAS PLAYING CASH AND RAISED 2.5 TIMES THE BB WITH AA. GOT CALLED AND THE FLOP WAS JQK - RAINBOW - WITH MY AA - A VERY SAFE FLOP. I HOPED THE OTHER ( VERY AGGRESSIVE) PLAYER HAD HIT ONE OF CARDS ON THE FLOP AND SO I PUSHED ALL IN. HE IMMEDIATELY CALLED WITH K9. AT THIS POINT I AM AN 82.8% FAVORITE. HE THEN HIT THE KING ON THE TURN AND A 9 ON THE RIVER FOR A FULL BOAT.

I TRULY UNDERSTAND LOSING TO BAD BEATS - IT IS PART OF THE GAME OF POKER. HOWEVER, TO LOSE EVERY TIME WHEN I AM AN AVERAGE OF AN 84% FAVORITE IS NOT ONLY UNLIKELY - I HONESTLY SUSPECT THAT THERE IS SOMETHING VERY WEIRD GOING ON AT BOVADO.

I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT HOW THE POKER SITES ARE SET UP - BUT I KNOW WHAT I EXPERIENCED AT BOVADO IS IN A WORD - IMPOSSIBLE - IF THE CARDS ARE NOT BEING MANIPULATED.

I HAVE HAD WORDS WITH THEIR " CUSTOMER SERVICE " PEOPLE VIA EMAIL AND PERHAPS I AM TAGGED? NOT SURE EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING - BUT IT IS NOT RIGHT.

I LIKED THE SITE BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO SCREEN NAME AND SUPPOSEDLY CANNOT BE TRACKED BY POKER TRACKING SOFTWARE. HOWEVER, I SUSPECT THAT THERE IS ANOTHER REASON THAT THE NAMES ARE HIDDEN - SO THAT COLLUSION CANNOT BE TRACKED.

I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR OTHER PLAYERS EXPERIENCE WITH BOVADO WITH REGARD TO THESE TYPES OF PROBLEMS.

I have been playing poker for a few years , played mostly tourneys at pokerstars year 2011 until black fiday (usdj) ,i was defenetly high on my ROI , bovada is trying to screw as many usa players out of money as they can before poker its legalize in the states , so at this point they are on a thieve mode running poker pacman software on borrowed time , wherever monnies they can get their hands on ,they could care less about integrety ,they are not going to grow in traffic , the poker world market plays pokerstars and other better sites , why would europeans choose bovada? seriously ,USA players are the only ones there and stock out of choices for now ,otherwise no one would play at bovada
i suggest to wait or play somewhere else and screw this thieves before they brake you ,even if you are top notch player .you just cant be a consistent player when they are messing around with the software
no need to mention hands , we all know and feel when there is something cooking after a certain period of play

For the last couple of weeks the same thing has happened to me.Just recently last night I had Pocket Rockets AA at the UTG position.
I called 4bb Villian Called.On the turn I went all-in,Villian all-in.Villian wins with sets.
This has happened to me a few times so far when I flop premium hands.
I am done with this BS at Bovada. Darn I'm glad I found this thread.Thanks OP.

still getting traffic on this post...mission success. Must just be everyone going through swings...but one things for sure..they're all playing on the same constant variable of a site...Bovada. I am totally convinced that Bovada is a SCAM.. I was winning great and playing like I normally do, then a downswing.. Bad downswing as in EVERY single hand I WOULD play would be a loser and EVERY hand I folded seemed to be the winner even when rabbit showed.. So I ran my money down to nothing.. I got an email saying I got a 15 dollar bonus. So I figured what the heck I'll play again./. Ya A BONUS.. Well I have never seen so many hands TIE in my life. Same hands Delt to me and another player like AQ off and we both catch a Q and go all in only to split the pot and BOVADA GETS THE RAKE BACK. It was back to back either a Split pot or a Loss,. after playing for about 2 days they managed to take that 15 from me. I sat and watched the table after the guy with 83 off had beat my JJ when I raised 4XBB on the button and he was BB. Why the hell would you call that? Well 8,4,3 Flopped and I pushed all in only for him to quick call with 2 pair and take the win. After I sat up. I noticed this "PLAYER" was catching every hand he/she/IT played. I watched people leave the table, and new come. People write in the chat box. This player never responded and was winning every hand. I am TOTALLY CONVINCED this site is a SCAM. I will never ever put any money on BOVADA again. Better off handing it to the drunk bum on the corner that is hungry for more beer. I played Pstars and Full Tilt, I am not a pro. But have made plenty of cash outs on those sites when U.S. players could play. Full Tilts Rush poker was like an ATM machine. On BOVADA I have never seen so many QUADS and Flushes and TIED HANDS AFTER they release a BONUS to all players. WHAT A JOKE I feel VIOLATED. Guess I will keep playing on Merge since I havn't had a problem on there. STAY AWAY FROM BOVADA IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR MONEY.... AA,KK,QQ they don't hold up on BOVADA becuase Superusers with 35 off will call and catch a Straight when you hit your A for trips.. Happend to many times to count.. Who pushes with 3,5 off or 8,3 off even 4,9 I dont get it.. SO SAD.. When they bring back REAL ONLINE poker in the USA I'm sure BOVADA will not stand a chance against any other site...

I've been playing on bovada for 8 years now, i had a great run winning 2k monthly until last october, the number of bad beats on a row are unreal, also i always seem to have KK when someone has AA and so on, and tis happens a lot when i'm deep in tourneys, now that Calvin Ayre is out i think the new owners got greedy and are taking all the money they can from american players, i met the staff in Vegas, and they all seem greedy young snobs. i'll stop playing here and you should to if you are form the US.
