SOUND THE ALARM!!!! -
Half your chips in the pot pre flop = bad play.
-
Why, are you saying he should of gone All in pre? Hes trying to take down the pot pre flop with JJ! Hes showing that hes pot commited, so the villian must think this is going to be Allin after flop. This gives him a good chance to take it pre flop.
How would you bet it with the intention of taking the pot pre flop? -
I agree that half preflop is bad. What happens there if the flop doesn't give you the set and it's TKA instead? You're basically priced in to call in a spot where you're probably beat. I'd rather put the pressure on preflop...there's already 10,600 in the pot before he's acting with his jacks. What's wrong with trying to add another 22 or 23% to the stack?
I think making him decide for his tournament preflop here is much better than putting half in. -
i just prefered taking down the po pre flop. IMO it was a horrible call on his part pre flop. I already had half my stack in the pot, and if he were to shove, he should know I am not folding.
-
JJ is the toughest hand to play for me and I feel your pain. I am guessing there is 6 people left at the final table and if this is the case I am not going all in on this flop with a set when you know the only way your opponent is putting in an all in bet is if he has at minimum a set like you, top 2 pair, or a nut straight. He has A-J and is an idiot for doing this and sucks out on the end. I have been in this situation where I only make sets with flops like this or 3 suited cards
-
Youre not even old enough to be playing poker for money....stop crying
-
It is most definitely a horrible call on his part.
