You butchered that hand pretty badly. So yes I would get some training if i were you.
GL -
It doesnt hold,. I really have 10 more hands I could post from this week where wtf, I no longer believe its real either employee players-computer players- whatever, who knows, but not real poker.

Things u did wrong in this hand....
1. Limp utg w/ A8o. Fold this hand everytime pre from this position.
2. Call a raise pre OOP (out of position) w/ A8o. This is not a hand u want to play OOP ever.
3. Checking TP/TK (top pair, top kicker) on the flop. Now that u gotten into this hand, u hit a decent flop. U need to lead out to get a feel for where u are at in the hand.
4. Playing a huge pot early in a tourney w/ only one pair. U check raise all in with basically no idea where u are at in the hand. U are risking ur entire tourney life in the first level w/ just one pair, this is just super weak.
Just because the villain turned out to be a super donk doesnt mean u played the hand well at all. Dont be results oriented. U SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN IN THIS HAND TO BEGIN WITH TO GET SUCKED OUT ON. Super donk will give his chips away eventually, look for better spots to get involved.
And yes, u def need training. If u can afford it I would recommend pokerxfactor.com, otherwise read harrington on holdem. Start w/ volume 1, if u can digest the basic principles in this book then move on to volume 2. Try to use better hand selection and pay attention to ur position on the table, and if u can learn to do this then at least its a start. -
This is how terrible players always talk while focusing on all the wrong things. Snap fold your A8 preflop in early position.
-
R U serious??? I have no idea how you have won anything.

With A8 off I can hit High & Low boards as well as make 2 different flushes, besides the limp in early position was a trap to get more players in since I basically have a 'jack of all trades' hand! Get a fkin clue man -
Also as you guys obviously dont get A8 is a great hand as seen here, in my tourney right before this the PROFESIONAL HIMSELF SHOWS ME !!!

I like how he capitalized High and Low. Made me giggle for some reason.

OP brings up a good point - here's why:

* People don't trap enough with A8 in EP and instead shove 100bb wide which gives away the true strength of their hand.
* Also A8 plays well against the Hi / Lo ranges in a multiway pot and makes him a favorite to scoop.
* The multi-flush argument is also a strong point bc a player held 2 suited cards he would only could only potentially make one flush (outside of the board playing). A8o literally doubles your chances of hitting a flush.
* Scott Fischman is a "professional" so he must know what he's doing. -

I want to say that I have been outleveled (for the sake of humanity), but I suspect yr post is genuine...
Take everything you know about poker and do the EXACT opposite and you will make money. Otherwise, yes do you need training (Pokerxfactor is a good place to start btw). -
I personally am pretty upset at 1977, I thought you seriously understood what I was saying????
-
nobody w/ half a brain is going to understand what ur saying because it doesnt make any logical sense. He was obv making fun of u and u just didnt get it. The hi/lo reference should have tipped u off given tht NLH isnt a hi/lo game. I think u would be better off coming out and telling everyone that this whole thread has been a level the entire time, so we wont worry that there really are people as stupid as u out there. And no u dont need training because u have already proved it wont do any good because u r apparently unable to listen to common sense, therefore negating any value training might offer. U should def quit poker 4ever, but u wont, so I just pray that I see u at one of my tables very soon.

You should have caught that joke....
-
Dude, get all three vulumes of Harrington on Holdem....Read them....
-
You should seriously stop watching that fucking clown asshole gder01's vidzzz on youtube!!!!
IMFO -
yes, A8os can do anything, LMFAO, level of the century obv......right?!!?!??
