Game: Heads-Up 2/4 NL (Live)
My Stack before the flop and blinds: Roughly $110
Enemy Stack before the flop and blinds: Roughly $90

In the SB, I raise the pot to $12 with AK pre-flop. Enemy calls. Being the wild player that enemy is, I didn't think as much of the call as I would any other player. The enemy was playing with a lot of emotion and wouldn't be pushed around like I did to her early on. After that big win early for me on a bluff, I was unable to buy the pot at all the rest of the time that we played, even knowing when she only had bottom pair on two occasions. I lost about half my chip stack at that point. I then tightened up a little after that, allowing the crazy player to take some pots from me. I started getting my money back more and more after I saw a tell that I felt really strongly about, winning three nice pots in a row with bottom or near bottom pair on the board calling healthy bets. Hopefully some of that extra information about our past hands during our match will help you get a little bit of a better feel for the situation I was in during this hand I will be telling you about. Now I was hoping to get a piece of something here and then who knows how much I can take from the crazy player! Here it goes...

$24 in the pot
My Stack after betting pre-flop: Roughly $98
Enemy Stack after calling pre-flop: Roughly $78

Flop comes...

KQ9

I caught top pair but there were many draws on the board. I bet $24 (the pot) to make the enemy pay for any draw or draws she might be on. Taking the pot right there would've been nice too since I had been losing to draws and worse hands catching on their All-Ins all day (just one of those days you keep saying to yourself "remember the long term, the long term!").

My Stack after betting the flop: Roughly $74
Enemy Stack if she were to call the bet on the flop: Roughly $54
That would make the pot $48

Rather than just calling, The Enemy goes All-In which raises me another $54. I start thinking about what she has. I tried to convince myself that this wasn't the one time that she might have actually hit a nice hand like two pair or a straight on the flop. She had to know I was strong, or did she? It took me only ten seconds to convince myself to make the call. I read The Enemy like a book...

I (Mr. Good) show my AK
The Enemy (Miss Evil) shows her 37

At this point, I was feeling so good about my play and The Enemy was PISSED. Anyways...

The Turn... 7

Now the board... KQ97

Although the percentages are still in my favor, I am a little scared now. Only 5 cards remaining that can hurt me in the deck with one more card to go. Poker gods please don't do this to me! haha

The River... 7

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

The Enemy wins the pot of $156 with KQ777

No sorry or anything. Just a lot of cheering and high fiving with a friend. blahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Now I'm starting to feel like my brother bswpu!!! lol
