Hello all, haven't posted in quite some time.
Here's a hand I've been discussing with a couple friends, played it badly in quite some ways but thought it's an interesting spot.
Don't flame me this is not a bad beat post, I was discussing Shauro's call with a couple friends, some were for it based on pot odds etc.
The river call is bad, but I could see this guy showing up with A2o here hence my decision to call...
I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on my play as well as Shauro's
Thanks

That sucks bro, You played it like i would. The guy chasing all the way to the riv is just an idiot. BB on full tilt at its finest. Sometimes i think the best strategy on FT would be to play the bad hands and fold the good ones. haha.

I'd like to see how many people argue for the call on Shauro's part.
he does have double gutshot and backdoor flush, plus I can't raise after the other shoves because of my 3bet sizing... at least I learned one thing from this hand.
I think it's a horrid call but may be biased because I did flame after seeing his hand. Also you do have to take risks at some point in donkaments.
now i'm frustrated cause he's running like a fucking god and stacking people all over the place -
im def shoving turn after pre and post flop is played
-
I would fold pre.

Edit: If I did choose to play there, would have went down in similar fashion. He was calling it down no matter your bet sizing..gurantee it. -
His call on the flop is bad. He should be folding but if not just get it all in and see 2 cards. That being said, he gave you a chance to blast the turn and get the rest in good when he just calls you on the flop.
What was your thought process on checking the turn? Pot control is over with at that point and I don't think you checking for deception after you make it 6k on the flop. -

I think he was scared of the flush on the turn and was hoping to boat on the riv.... Idk I am getting it in on the turn tho.

I think the main problem is even playing the hand at all. People are so deepstacked you are building a pot pre with a hand that you need to hit gin with to win since you are going to get multiple callers.
As played, I think you have to jam turn - even though you may be dead on te flop already to AJ for instance.
Regardless though, villain is a moron and should have jammed the flop if he was gonna commit.
Very unlucky -
