Just got back from local $40 tourney (start with 2000) here in Vegas, truly miserable time, and not only because I had the coldest run of cards I've ever hand, online or live, but because of (I was in seat 5):
A-hole #1 (seat 3)
- Didn't know he could add-on (additional 1500) from the start
- Pushed all-in with blinds at 25-50, then 50-100 with way over 2000 chips, making comments like "Don't have a choice"
- Every hand he was in was saying "ship it"
- talking to his buddy in seat 8 when one of them wasn't in the hand (got warned)
- answering his phone at table, immediately told by the dealer to get up from the table, the saying "I'm folding anyway" when he was UTG +2 before action had even got to him, then coming back and saying "you all would answer the phone if your kid called"
- With blinds 50-100 and somebody would raise to 3x BB would say "why so much?"
- I could go on
A-Hole #2 (seat 6)
- Not so much a jerk but if somebody put a bet and flopped the chips so ANYONE could easily see it was 2 500's and 2 100's for a GRAND TOTAL of 1200 he would say "how much?"
A-Hole 3 (seat 8)
- Pal to a-hole in Seat 3, wasn't quite as bad, might've even been embarrassed by a-hole in seat 3 but never pulled him aside to tell him to STFU.
A-Hole 4 (seat 1)
- Kid who felt the need to show one of his cards when folding to a bet into him heads up like we were all supposed to be impressed.
-Once tried to be slick showing one card to the seat 8-9-10 area but seat 7 was still in the hand yet to act
- Threw out terms like "pot committed" & "pot odds" ad nauseum
The rest of the table when the flop hit would "silently" (so they thought) mutter to their neighbor something about "I knew I shouldn't have folded" then when a hand had all five cards come out would say "Oh, I woulda won that hand, I had 8-3" or something stupid like that.
Worst part, I ran so fucking cold for one hour I couldn't even take these folks money. I truly got zero playable hands and with none of them noticing how tight I was playing I really couldn't try any moves. I was so happy to push all in blind right before the first break with 725 and lose I can't even tell you. God that was frustrating. -
Flesh this out a little and you have a very funny post on your hands. A-hole #1, Will Ferrell could do a good job playing him in the movie version.

Sounds like the tourney from hell. How was the rest of your vacation?
