  1. So after running my stack up to 160k in the main event, I got moved late in day 2A and had Kido Pham and Eric Crane on my right. I knew immediately that there was going to be a big pot before the day was over, or I could just choose to get run over and wait for the nuts and set a trap. Without boring you with all of the details, I lost a 260k pot with JJ on a ten high board against a flush draw and got knocked out. I'm having a hard time dealing with it knowing that I easily could've coasted through day 2 and probably day 3 by playing small pot poker.

So I'm now sitting at home, wide awake, and still pissed off. I'm so sick of the disappointments that come with playing tournament poker. I've played for a while, taken thousands of beats, but this one I just can't shake. I realize that I was only 60/40, but wtf.

I'm really getting sick of having to deal with all of the disappointments that come with playing tournaments. What do some of you do to ease the pain? Jesus, I sound like a woman...

  2. You sound like you NEED a woman...
  3. i do what you do and get all emotional but then the next tournament comes around and the beat is forgotten. Good luck in your next donkament
  4. I need a woman like I need a bad case of the clap

  7. I ask the SAME QUESTION BRO! IDK! GOSH just hate the downswings..........
  8. I used to get really emotional and really mad and even berate my opponents play..then i took a long break and now i honestly just laugh.

    true story
  9. obviously take some time off, get together with some friends, go to a club, get shlammered, then find yourself a nice one night std free stand

  10. I have hard a real hard time dealing with the beats that come with poker. To make a long story short ive replaced 3 laptops patched countless holes in walls broke several chairs, cell phones pretty much u name it ive broke it. Then i finally got a punching bag and a new weight bench and after every rough beat i either come home (if im playing live poker) and beat the shit out of the bag or lift weights for an hour.
  11. Damn bro, I'm a small stakes player but for some reason I'm feeling you here. You gotta look at the big picture, this one tournament- be it the most televised and hyped- is just one tournament of many. The beats are gonna come, and it sucks, but keep getting it in good and your day will come boss...your day will come.
  12. lets see last year a friend lost in the main event with a set of fives vs KT on a KT5 flop that was a 85/15 beat another friend in the ME this year lost to a 1 outer money went in vs KK after the he floped top set and another guy folded AK 1 out river that's a 96/4 beat and I have plenty of others. The answer is you just do get over them or just quit, they are going to happen and if you can't take it then this is not the game for you. Hope this helps.
  13. Play cash games.
  14. 100 players left in a V's deepstack. I am sitting on somewhere near 20kish. Blinds were 400/800 with ante. I am in Mid position with KK. I raise it to 1750 bb only calls(he has about 21kish if I recall). Flop comes down 47K rainbow (yeah me!!!). BB bets out 6k. I think for a second and for some reason I push (Normally flat obv then go from there). The BB insta snap pushes while I am in the process of putting my chips in. " I CALL! I CALL!" he yells. He flips over 7s9s. The 4 on the board was a spade. I was like Mutha fuggin BINGO!

No BINGO for me. RR flush for him. So losing a 60/40 is not all that bad. Not saying it doesnt hurt just the sting that one stuck with me.

I think live poker is rigged sometimes too. lol I kid I kid. I lost on my b-day AA<A9 all in on the ft bubble to a rr flush. We were all in pre too.
  15. porn, strippers, vacations, all help me with bad beats. and slamming the mouse down and yelling god fucking dammit does this happen every time, followed by more porn. and live cash games at the casino also.
