Why blame donks they are not the ones who are manipulating the cards.

ok being constructive here, 1st hand of a fpp tourny, why risk your tourny life on 88, play it for set value, if miss move on
both poorly played IMO -
Really? So I should just let a guy who limp-raised Ace-rag just bully me around like that? That doesn't seem like a way to get ahead in this game. And on the second hand, since the guy wasn't going anywhere, I should just fold? I'll give you the fact that my raise was a little weak, but aces are still aces.

And to the guy who "lol'ed" earlier? I don't care if you're a Supernova Elite who plays 200/400 NL and earns 800 points an hour, you still don't have to be such a snob about it. -
Is it about ego or winning the tournament?

Me, I wait, choose a better spot
1st you are UTG with only 88, 1st hand of the tourny. Limp to hit a set, if you miss you only lost 20, even if he raises, you can call the raise to set mine. You miss, but you live on, and the way he played the hand, seems like it will be easy to stack him later
1st hand 88 UTG is NOT a strong hand
and as for the guy who lol'd prolly was LOLing because in a 15 FPP you have to expect bad play, sucks to lose to it, but believe me, I play the $1 donk and go's and see tons of bad play rewarded, just keep getting your money in good and the math will work out in the long run -
See, I keep hearing that. But when you've played in games where checking 77 in the big blind (in a situation much like that one) drew nothing but laughter, and where pre-flop raising is impossible because you know you're going to get repopped, it's pretty hard to believe it.
Personally, I think I need to consider a new hobby. It's obvious that I lack something required to be good at this game, and with people like hummer sneaking around here just waiting to kick guys when they're down, it's not even worth the hassle to recount this stuff. Yeah, it'll hurt to lose a chance at my deposit bonus, but I guess I can just try to recoup that the next time I'm not in a state where this game is illegal. -
Hey I have never kicked anyone I just give you the answer to what is going on. Its not your fault and you will never figure it out. But I will tell you this, you cannot beat the site programs, thats what they are there for to beat you.
And the guy who is telling to get your money in with the best hand and the Math will work out. It will never happen on-line at Live games yes, but on-line, forget it never happen. -
Get Harrington on Holdem, Vols I and II read them, read this board, Hand advice section, and Poker Discussion. It will help. I am not saying I know how to play the game, in fact there are many ways to play, I am only offering my views (I am a winning player in the lowest limits, you can look me up on OPR or sharkscope)
But when you've played in games where checking 77 in the big blind (in a situation much like that one) drew nothing but laughter"
let them laff, poker is not a sprint, but a marathon, the goal is in the long run to make money
and for what it is worth (prolly not much) I check 77 in the BB early on all the time
GL at teh tables
oh and BTW hummer is always on about how on line is rigged, and it may be , but the fact is even live AA gets cracked by 55, KQ and even 72 off, part of the game
