This isn't a complaint post, just sharing...these things don't only happen online
At Harrahs this Saturday playing in the $85 + 15 at 12:15 PM. I am playing a tight solid game. top 5 positions pay. At final table, I get 88 preflop and move it all in. I can see the chip leader is agonizing to call but folds.
Two hands later I get AK. I make a 4 times raise preflop. Chip leader calls. Flop comes A24. I move in the rest of my chips, he instacalls. I show AK he shows AJ. It looked like he was punched in the stomach.
This was for either chip lead, or 2nd in chips.
J on the turn, no help on the river.
BYE BYE.
Good thing I kicked some ass playing in an omaha tourney and cash games to make up for it
PS This is funny. Toward the beginning of the game, some guy gets moved to my table, moves all his chips in with 99 on the flop when 3 low cards hit. Some old dude thinks and then calls with AJ...no draw of any kind, just the 2 overs...calls for his life. A on the river. 99-guy starts to freak out "How could you call that for your life with nothing like that?!?!"
It's that feeling that made me take my name...."HOW COULD YOU CALL THAT?!?!?!?!"
