Just kidding. But this post is to get all those fools who say that online poker is rigged to see that those beats happen live as well. Last night after two days of bad results online, I went up to Hawaiian Gardens Casino to play a cash game and take a break from the computer. I played the $2/$3 NLHE $100 buy-in cash game. After about an hour and really nothing great to speak of, I was down to $77 when this hand came up.

The UTG+1 player raises to $13 (standard raise for the night seemed to be $12) so nothing abnormal here except that this fool has called a few short-stack all-ins and mucked the river saying he had 9 high or K high. He was active in a lot of pots. It folds to the cutoff who pushes all-in for $42 total. I am in the small blind and look down at Q-Q. Now instead of isolating the all-in player I decide to flat-call the $42 leaving myself $35 behind to keep the original raiser/donkey in the pot. Sure enough, it folds to him and he calls the extra $29. Flop comes 8-6-5. I push my remaining $35 into the pot at which point the original raiser says "All I have is a 5" and calls flipping up the 5-3. I flip up my QQ and the other guy flips up 9-9. So I'm set to win a $199 pot when the J comes on the turn and then WHAM, the 5. Hits the river and the donkey wins the side and main pots. Wouldn't have been so bad if a 9 or 7 came on the river because then at least I would have won the $70 side-pot and I started the hand with $77 but the 5 has to hit the river to give Mr. 3-5 offsuit the whole shebang.

Moral of the story. Bad beats happen, Live or online. Get over it people.
