Figured this might be an interesting thread and I am wondering if anyone else has experienced a drought like this.
My last online mtt win (over 100players.. and not a sit - n - go style mtt) was Jan. 25th 2010 for 5,500 (a 30 rebuy)
My statistics since (rough but pretty accurate estimate) is as follows;
158k in total cashes
48k in profit
roi = 47%
1101 mtts played
143 cashes (ITM = 13%)
26 FT's ( 4, 2nd places, 5, 3rd places , the rest 4-10)
I am very pleased with my results, but as you all know, not WINNING, is very frustrating. I remember back in 2008 when I had 4 wins and 2 2nd places all within a week.
By posting this thread I hope I break my curse and get my win tonight =) -
I feel like b/c of the way this post was worded...its really a brag.
-
sick brag about not getting 19ths over and over again....
-
yep, dude you really need to learn how to win again - i mean cmon.....$47k profit - wheres the fkn fun in that, and 26 final tables - i mean dude, grow some nads and 47% roi - well i nearly fainted.........
-
I have 1 win in 5 years so yeah, guess I know how you feel?
-
no MTT ft in almost 4 month except a 8th in the 3r for 500...
I'm sooooooooooooooooo bad.. -
Are you losing a lot of flips or getting coolered at the FT's? Just start abusing the FT bubble to build your stack up. That's what I see all these sicko's doing and ever since I have incorporated it into my game and I've been closing out tournies left and right. Just a thought..
-
so you have a +47% roi in this span and ur bitching?? please gtfo.. try getting busted in 12th-18th with the best of it in 10 consecutive tourneys with prize pool over 15k...

I know the feeling man. Had a similar year last year. All the responses saying you should be happy with the results just don't get it imo. We play to WIN, 2nd is nothing. If you are interested in puking, add up the extra money you would have made if all your FT appearances finished just one spot higher.

I love this thread......why......cuz of some of the nut ball answers.
It really amazes me on how many people just don't get it. Yes, he is up $48K in one year..........$48K is "OK" money but still not great money and not having a win is like one of the worst feelings ever.
What is it that we get and you boinkers don't?......We not only want to make GREAT money but we also have a passion for the hunt....the thrill of the kill.
I have been sooooo close 3 times this month and just keep getting railed by bad beats. The other day, we are down to around 150 players, i'm 16th in chips in the BB. The SB is like 18th in chips and big raises me.....like he has many times before. I reraise my QQ he shoves, I call. His AK catches on the river. Now he is the massive stack headed for the finish line........and thats cool cus ya gotta win some flips. Therer was a thrill to that hand that makes it all worth doing over and over again.
Boinkers just don't get it. -
Click make deal button next time you have chip lead on a final table.
