    Following up on my thread about my allin preflop results thread....

    I had tried to get pokerstars to help me confirm my statistical analysis of my data I talked about in an earlier post. Surprisingly, Stars doesn't have that much useful analysis that they could offer. They even seemed confused by the Equity discussion. They just said that if you put it in bad, you are going to lose more than when you put it in good (wow, thanks for that).

    They were able to run a couple of reports for me. The only one that was really useful was the All-in Pairs vs OverCards report. My numbers:

    When I have the pair versus overcards: I win 39.3% of the time

    When I have the overcards versus the pairs: I win 30.4 % of the time.

    They did have a couple of gems in their email:

    If these stats are a reflection of your winning/losing hands, then
    conversely, when your opponent(s) have 'gotten lucky' against you, then
    their stats will show the opposite, balancing the situation.

    Yeah that makes me feel good to know that if I'm running bad, everyone I'm playing is running good, so be happy for them.

    and, their final analysis:

    Reviewing your stats here, they are just about in line with expectation.

    Wow..... A pair is now only a 39% favorite vs. overcards at PokerStars.

    They started off promising me a comprehensive analysis, and ended up providing very little.

    All in all, I have a bit more confidence in my game, can't stand a few more online players, and still have no idea how to win on Stars.

    i agree with awwnutz. something is wrong with stars. the numbers dont add up. i know that i run bad on stars and its lasted for about 6 months. im not bitching, just claiming that there is something more than "variance" going on.

    Didn't YTIU put this to rest already? He had a very informative post where he showed you why your #'s weren't that crazy, and about 1 in 100 people should expect to see similar results. Congrats, you are the 1 in the 100.... if you think something is wrong then just don't play anymore. Otherwise, there is no point in talking about it as it has already been shown to you why your numbers prove nothing.

    How come the number of i run badly, bad beat, or there rng is crazy threads for pokerstars outnumber the amount for Full Tilt by like what seems to be 10 to 1.

    Yet, they dont even have double the players anymore.

    Just a thought.

    If there is 100 000 players on stars when it is busy, one of them has to run worse than any single other one. He is obviously gonna think its rigged against him. So are the bottom couple of thousand. Hence these posts.

    The top couple of thousand are not gonna complain about running good, and instead are 'ranked' on p5s.

    WOW...Ive been running horrible since the WSOP....I thought it was just variance mixed with making some bad plays due to running so bad.......thus snowballing into a run bad/play bad streak. Now that I know its all pokerstars, I can sleep easy......and these 4 days I've been taking off are ridiculous.......I should just switch sites.lol Take a break from the game........running bad usually makes ppl race for their chips too often. Your not the only one who runs bad......I heard it even happened to Imp once.

    Aaaawnutz is entitled to his opinion. I have spoken to many very successful players who seem to have some sort of block on one site, but kill it everywhere else.

    I still have full confidence in the RNG at pokerstars and all major online sites.

    I don't think there is a lot more to add to this discussion.

    Gee, I don't know. Giant mystery. Maybe we should start by comparing the number of regular Pokerstars players to the number of regular FTP players. This might turn up some useful information in resolving this mind boggling puzzle you have presented us with.

    Edit- god i sound like a raving lunatic. who knows if i ever win another mtt i will be glad. godamn 8% roi with about 20 9-20ths out of 500. seriously that is atleast a 100% roi if i dont get ganbanged by lex steele and peter phucking north at every final 2 tables. gg sanity.

    I quit playing at stars regularly as well. I have a ton of cash hands there and at FT, and my FT results absolutely crush stars. My tourney results, although much, much smaller sample at both, are even more lopsided in FullTilts favor. I got tired of getting my chips in good and the very next card off leaving me drawing basically dead. Cash games are still profitable there, but my results are just so much better at FT. According to OPR Im 97 percentile at FT and 88% at Stars which is a huge difference IMO. Definitely a huge difference in profit. Ive never really believed that the site is rigged. I always just assumed Stars had a much larger number of good players at higher limits as well as a larger number of poor players at the lower limits. Ive always assumed this meant greater variance for me at lower limits. Of course, if this is true their games should be more profitable in the long run but with greater variance. Its just so much less frustrating for me at FT. I find myself asking less often- 'how the fk can that clown be in this pot with those two cards?'

    BTW, if a Stars rep wants to PM me that my account has now been rigged to win, Ill be happy to ramp my business back up there.

    This thread makes me sick. Played there a year never have had a big score i thought i was finally gonna make my first final table in a MTT and have this happen saturday on a zillion chance of this ever happening..Poker stars doesnt seem fair to a lot of people its too bad bc it a great layout with some sick software..
