    so, what is the verdict so far for the players who can still play? I think many people thought the games would be easier, so I'm wondering if people think they are.

    for the record I've been getting my shit pushed in.

    I've only been playing on bodog, have had a few close calls but nothing worth noting. Fwiw I don't feel the game is tougher, I just think there are fewer opportunities to win tournaments.

    kinda of topic but the chat is heaps better on the tables. talking trash with poms kiwis canadians is fun they know how to take a bit of banter

    The fields are much softer. I honestly feel its like night and day comparing the skill level of the average field before BF to post BF. It's a bit tougher to get 5 fig scores etc but on average, I feel i've been making a lot more deep runs on a consistent basis and that eliminating the americans has shown to be advantageous for the rest of us.

    my ROI and ITM % has more than doubled since playing on Merge... small sample size tho of about 600 MTTs so far. ABI is much lower too so its not really saying much, but I feel like there are fewer regs per table and the avg fish is much worse... I OPR ppl at my tables and often I'll see someone with like 1 cash outta 74 MTTs and a ton of people with worse than a -40% ROI.

    on FTP/stars this was not as common... of course there were losing players, but the majority of them were like -5% ROI to -20%... someone with a -5% ROI isn't going to be playing nearly as bad as someone with -76%. So there is a lot of depth in the fish department on merge, plenty of ppl gifting off chips making life pretty easy.

    yep fields are waay softer since BF, its not even close, sometimes i wonder where all these people come from...
    I "miss" the tough late 100 r on stars (6 max) tho. Was allways very challenging and fun to play vs (a lot of americain) sickos allthough i got raped a lot :/. Def not complaining about the situation in general but feel sad for all the americains who cant play anymore, i hope (for you) the situation will get better soon. Moneywise and roi-wise its def an advantage for us but its not the same competition anymore without a lot of the best. GL at wsop all!!!

    hmmmm was hoping for more non american point of views. I'm having a hard time making the adjustment against the constant barrage of european idiots. maybe its just in my head and nothing has changed at all

    I've put in very limited time on Merge/Bodog, but from what I've played it seems a lot easier. Like everyone else said, it's harder to get the bigger scores but the fact that the skill level is greatly decreased and the field sizes are A LOT smaller, it's easier to snap off a bunch of little wins.

    Well I have played about 20 mtts and had on top 4. Way to small a sample size obviously but I would say the standard is very much softer.

    As for the cash tables on full tilt, wow it's like night and day. The majority of yank players leaving has left a Russian and german heavy field. Logged 10 cash sessions or so and worst time was finishing 1.5 buy ins up.

    Yup fields are way softer......sucks that im on a mahoosive downswing........winning two hands in a row is a problem for me it seems lol.....oh well. Jared Tendlers new book is in the post. Definatly need it at this stage lol.

    dont get me wrong. i think the fields are softer, but I think the types of players they are really goes against the type of game i play. so what im really looking for in this post is if anyone has actually been killing it in tourneys since this went down. maybe an average midstakes grinder who has suddenly found more success than before. saying, 'fields are softer, but im on a huge downswing' doesnt give me a ton of optimism

    hmmm my sample size is kinda small since BF but my results hav been incredible since then esp this month. Hav never had a better month in my career and half the month's still left..not quite sure if this is largely due to the absence of americans or because I've been focusing more on relatively smaller field MTTS with higher buyins this month..guess that could be the reason variance isnt fucking me as well..so cant really say for sure~
