Im in the big blind with pocket eights, everyone folds to the player to the right of the button, he raises. I figure hes got two high cards or a middle to low pair but i think its likely that hes making a move at it so i call. AK7 rainbow flop so i throw out a bet, hoping he didnt connect or that the ace and king scare him. He calls so I start thinking ive got the best hand and hes got a belly straight draw. Blank on the turn, I fire another bet, another quick call. Now i know hes either on a draw or hes got 22 through maybe 66 and hes being stubborn with it. This is low limit so this guy isnt good at disguising a big hand, if he was slow playing a monster he wouldnt be calling so quick. The turn card is a deuce, there is no possible straight or flush on the board, I fire out another bet becuase I figure there's gotta be enough value in my hand if hes called up untill now. He raises me and I call, he flips over pocket deuces for twos full of aces, which beats my aces and eights. Its hard to get really sick beats in limit holedm becuase each betting round is different and you never have to commit all of your chips at one time, but this was one of the worst ive had, i mean not being able to let go of deuces the whole way, you can only beat a bluff, and often times you cant even beat that. Its OK though, cause I strictly limit cash games, so i dont mind getting sucked out on. Unlike for tourney players I cant get knocked out and lose my investment, and since the numbers never change it just means more money for me eventually.
