When I'm not playing online, I'm at Canterbury Card Club in Minnesota. I was playing 4/8 limit. Here is what went down:

Table folds to me on the button. I have 99. I raise it. SB folds and BB calls (This player is very loose). The flop is two red 8s and a 9 I bet, BB calls quickly. 8 on the turn. I check expecting a bet (He really wanted to put his chips out there). So BB bets out, I raise, he reraises. Does he have the other 8? I just call. The 8 comes on the river. Table get excited about that. I check, he checks (not sure why he did that?) He turns up A3 and takes down the pot with his kicker.

A few hands later:
I have KK in middle position and raise it. Four callers (including Mr. Ace Kicker from hand one). Flop was 222. In front of me is a bet and a call. I decide to just call (AA is unlikely with no re raise, I think. A player holding a 2 is unlikely with a pre flop raise). Everyone ends up calling. The turn is another 2. I think to myself, "What is going on?" I just kept thinking about the hand less than a half an hour ago. The same guy from hand one bets out, I call. It is just me and him now. River is a 4 I call his bet. He turns up AK He takes it down again with the A kicker.

After being on the losing end of those two hands, I called for a set up (a new deck). Table laughed.
