  1. Since several months ago, TT has been doom for me. I officially refer to it as "the hand of death". For two months now i have gotten my chips in as a huge favorite approximately 932 times, and lost 935 times. That's right, some times they even take my stack when i fold preflop.

Lee, i beg you to turn it off. Someone has mistakenly put me on the naughty list, and I have been a vocal supporter of stars.

You have to love a guy who calls 2700 AFTER a 7 high flop with AJ. YUP... Ace high had to be good there. No way to fold A high for 2700 more with the blinds 50-100.

    Dealt to brsavage [Td Tc]
    csku: calls 100
    Pingo9: calls 100
    Dunkelb1: folds
PokerMillion: raises 1180 to 1280 and is all-in
    samuraiman: folds
    ski7777: folds
    feedmee $$: folds
    brsavage: calls 1230
    IrieCPA: folds
    csku: folds
    Pingo9: calls 1180
    *** FLOP *** [7h 6s 3s]
brsavage: bets 2740 and is all-in
    Pingo9: calls 2740
    *** TURN *** [7h 6s 3s] [Jc]
    *** RIVER *** [7h 6s 3s Jc] [Kd]
    *** SHOW DOWN ***
brsavage: shows [Td Tc] (a pair of Tens)
Pingo9: shows [Js Ah] (a pair of Jacks)

  2. dont forget the runner runner flush he could have hit! I'm sure he took that into consideration...
    that sucks man...
    F bowties

  3. TT is also my "hand of death." Every time I get it all I want to do is fold it. Seriously. The amount of times I lose to A9, A8 even AT is unreal.

    gg TT.

  4. With about 50 left in 50k at dise the other day, Leggy was at the table and he goes ai UTG with about 16K in chips. Everyone folds till it gets to sb who thinks for about 5 seconds and calls his 12K.

Leggy turns over AK and this guy turns over AT-lol. So the ten is of course the first card.

Leggy waits about a minute, and then asks "did you think you were ahead?" Next comment IDIOT! lol

Was down to 150 in 500K 2 weeks ago and 1 from button I go ai for 38K with AJ, and without a second of thght bb goes ai for AT-of course T is first card off on flop.

I was speechless, but now I know what to say "did you think you were ahead?" And I know what to say after ...
  5. heh, but you know leggggy wants that call every time.....

just sucks when that call beats you 90% of the time... RIGGED
  6. Didn't anyone read the article in Time that pretty much says an algorythm cannot provide a true random deal, and that the winner of the hand is predetermined by the software? After playing for a long, long time, both online and live, I can definitely see a difference in the software between the major sites. Anyone who plays on stars knows A rag will bust KK, QQ, JJ, TT the majority of the time. It's almost sickening.
  7. the major sites don't use an algorithm, they use atmospheric noise and client input. put your tinfoil hat on kthx
  8. does it also say that when you push shortstacked w/ A rag it will consistently lose to K rag?

i also usually exeperience a pang of fear when i'm dealt 1010 late in a tourny.
  9. Yah mun
  10. F 10-10
  11. As someone who has done RNG's for a living (when I worked at a gaming manufacturer), it's actually both. There's a pseudo-random seed that works in conjunction with a separate input (crystalline noise works really well) to feed into the RNG algorithm. I've seen some very cool inputs used to RNG algorithms. My favorite was a grad student who took digital scans of his lava lamp every second and converted the pixel bitmap into a seed. Worked great.

Why do so many people insist on using the "A-rag beats KK every time" line as proof of a vast conspiracy? First, the A-rag is only a 70-30 dog; KK is by no means invincible. Second, most online players with KK are too willing to limp or minimum raise with it to protect the hand. Third, most online players are too stupidly aggressive or just plain stupid to lay down the A-rag in the face of a good-sized raise. Nope, nope, and nope. It's gotta be a conspiracy.

Love the tinfoil hat line, drew.

  12. TT is just like AQ... I can never win with it, and I can never beat it.
  13. Not that I'm saying it's the right call at all, but... 1280+1280+1280+100+100 = 4040 in the pot preflop. On the flop, you bet 2740, so he had to call 2740 to win 6780, which gave him about 2.5:1 pot odds. He's a little worse than a 2.5:1 underdog against your hand, ignoring whatever PokerMillion has. Obviously it's a clear fold for the amount of chips and the possibility that PokerMillion kills at least one of your outs, but he is getting almost the right price. What were the stack sizes?
  14. 1010 is my favorite hand. I always seem to win with it. That is except other night on Pearl. I'm on BB with 14k in chips with 10 players left in Pearl (blinds 1k-2k), little less than average. Small stack with 6k chips raises all in on button. I call with KQ suited. Flips over 108 and wins. Very next hand I have 1010, so I figure might win the chips back. Guy on button raises to steal blinds, I call with my remaining chips, has A6 off, and wins knocking me out at 10th, just before real money starts to build.

First time in a long time I've been outdrawn with 1010. But my streak of losing 90% of showdowns, whether I'm behind, even or ahead, continues on Paradise. Only way I can win a hand is post flop with the nuts or taking down a hand. Top pair and top kicker is no good as people always flop sets against me.

  15. Last night 2/4 NL I get TT in sb, i make it 12 to go. Flop TTQ. I bet $100 into a $50 pot hoping to look like an over bet to get called. Get 1 caller. turn is blank. I bet out $300 and he goes all in for $550. $250 more to me to I cannot call quick enough. He has pocket QQ and hits another Q on the river.

    I hate TT
