might want to reevaluate who the donk is. And it isn't a suckout if you let them get there free

  6. so you checked while way ahead...called a min bet while way ahead...then spazzed and got tons of chips in while possibly behind.

    hmmm

a short answer to the question posed in thread title:

    everything.
  7. dude that was a monster drawing board the whole way. i would normally bet every street
  8. Alot of people make the mistake you made in this HH, it was a big leak in my game aswell but I've learned from it now. Flopping top set is not like the stone cold nuts, you can't check and let draws get there cheap; its nothing like flopping a straight or a flush, sets are hands that can easily get drawn out on if you play them too slowly. On this board texture (very wet) you are NEVER checking, there are 2 diamonds aswell as broadway cards. By checking you don't only lose a lot of value, but you also run risk of getting drawn out on. Also, if you're the PF raiser and flop a very strong hand you can't be scared to lead betting with it. A continuation bet is standard and won't scream strength automatically, the check behind will make your hand look like a monster more so than leading betting.
  9. thats spot on rain man ty. i just seem to go blind and not think of the draw heavy board. just seem to be blinded by the trips!! ty for all the replys just a BIG leak in my game im going to have to work on.
