This might belong inthe bad beat section but...
I was playing $2/4 NL Heads Up. We each had about $500 at the table. We have been battling for about an hour. Anyway, I was dealt QQ and he raised 3x BB. I followed with a pot sized re raise and he went all in. Without much hesitation I called. He showed A3 suited. He caught an A on the river and won like a $1,000 pot. I was so pissed I almost broke my monitor. I made a few comments about the guy's lousy play. He made some remarks suggesting I was a weak player. He then said "you only play small pots."
What exactly did he mean by that? And is it bad to only play small pots? -
I think he meant he thought you were gonna fold. *shrug*
-
Yup, he had you pegged as a small-ball player and wouldn't gamble preflop.
-
i think he meant "man yur a tough player who deosnt give anything up but it feels damn good to suck out with a weak ace"
-
Do I need to change my style of play? Or just chalk this up as a bad beat?
