    You take a little while to compose yourself, curse or laugh at the poker gods, remind yourself YOU GOT YOUR MONEY IN WITH THE BEST OF IT, and go on with your life.

    Here's a good way to look at these kinda things: IIRC you were at a full table, so that's 18 cards gone for hole cards. Then 4 more on the board.

    That means that you put your villain in when he was a 29:1 dog. Those are great odds for you but think about it like this. Every number on a roulette wheel is 37:1 against hitting...but SOME number hits every spin. It's 35:1 against you rolling boxcars in craps, but it happens all the time.

    People see somebody suckout on them like that, and it's natural to get pissed off, just realize it's not like the guy won the Powerball on you. He just hit his number on the roulette wheel.

    All you can control is when you get the money in, and if you get it in with the best of it (or getting proper odds)...hey, all the rest is a roulette wheel. That's why poker isn't chess.

    I laugh and move on because if you dwell on that shit then you're going to be a very miserable person and should find a new game to play. Maybe try WoW, there aren't quite as many bad beats.
