I am becoming very discouraged and I feel like I will never win again. Keep getting my money in right, keep losing. Been happening for a little over 2 weeks now in probably 90% of my tourneys (I'm cashing in the bottom tier from time to time -_-) ...losing all my flips, losing all my 60/40s...I'm on the biggest cooler of my life. In the $320 80k about 10 minutes ago I got it all in with aces vs queens (at 10/20 lol) and kid just peels a queen...it's so sick.
I know people complain a lot that they "always lose" and the obv response is "you don't remember the winners!" but there literally are no winners. If I do end up building a decent stack somehow, I'll get stacked off my AK vs KJ..etc. I'm having a disgusting run lately! I need some 'turn-around from a huge downswing then I binked the sunday mil' stories to get me thinking positive again...because I believe thinking positive is very important to your success in the game and how well you play, but I can't find a way to think positive when I keep taking all of these beats tourney after tourney to the point where I'm starting to believe it's standard when I get 2 outtered.
Please help my confidence...lol. -
I know the feeling....I can't tell you how many times
It seems people draw at 100 percent against me....it's frustrating -
Currently at 1 1/2 years since any "reasonable" score. Granted, there have been times when ive sat back and not played at all, but wanting to get right back into my poker for 2012, and the start ive had is jus carrying on from 2010...

We keep pluggin away though, variance is a bitch, but one day, when in this situation, we all hope that variance bites someone else on the arse that one time for a big chip advantage at a key point in an mtt.
Keep ya chin up

I've had extended periods, of several months where I've done nothing but downswing. Even putting in a solid volume, i went months on end without making a dollar. Ended up in a decent amount of makeup...then I won a few mtts in a couple day span n all that was taken care of. Streaks are a part of poker, whether good or bad, you're usually not ever gonna just be breaking even. The most important part is making sure you're playing your best and to try n not let the downswing affect your decisions. If you're playing optimally, then time and volume will cure the curse.
gl and hope you get outta the rut. -
I know exactly what you mean when you say about thinking positive.. It is definitly hard to stay positive when your running bad you just have to keep telling yourself its gonna turn around no matter how hard it is

Good to hear from somoene who is running hot at the moment see how they are thinking.. Because there probably thinking they can win everything. and were all thinking we cant and its happening!
Also you have only played 250 mtts... Just keep grinding. -
How can I win?

Aces are gunna lose to queens one in every 5 times... It's not exactly shocking...
Try playing some smaller games, do some study and concentrate on working out if you made the right play or not...
Don't be results orientated... lol...
I've had AA cracked by far worse than that in the last week... It sucks. -
I don't need to play smaller games, I need to hold when I have the best hand most of the time...lol.
-
It's just so brutal how bad I'm running...I can't take it anymore...

2 weeks high volume, 16 hours a day.

Maybe things are finally turning around, just shipped the $5.50 1R1A $900 guarantee ($1,100 prize pool) on Lock for $311. Not a huge score, but man it feels good to win one after that downswing.
