Why I hate Joe Sebok

    I am 100% aware that in a standard situation this hand was played very poorly but considering what was at stack... I found it interesting and wanted to share and see what other people thought as I consider this one of the most interesting hands I have played in my 7 years as a amateur low limit MTT online Tournament player.

    Tournament is about 45 minutes deep and the Chip average is about $1,600 and the table image for everyone at this point is on some level tight.

    Random dude limps under the gun for 60 chips with about chip average of 1,600 behind him. Folds around to me. I raise to 240 with AJ suited in mid position with about 1,800 chips behind and the blinds are at 30/60… I want to show some level of strength with this hand. <span> </span>Joe Sebok Calls on the BB (he has a $1,500 bounty on him and I only paid $5 to get into this tournament) with about 900 chips behind him. original limper random dude calls the remaining 180 .

    Here comes the flop.......

    5 5 7 rainbow…

    I’m first to act… I sadly check… Joe seebok shoves all in… random dude folds… omg omg…. My hand blows … I calculate I have roughly 6 outs with the three aces and 3 jacks… and range joe seboks hand down to a slight slight chance of trips… but most likely a 7 as his all in shove with no callers would give him a free double up…. I PAID $5.00 Dollars to get this chance.. I had the best seat in the entire tournament out of the over 800 entrants. I had Joe Sebok on the Big Blind… if I lose I am not out of the tournament and might get another shot to take out Sebok and his sweet sweet glorious $1,500…

    Like I said… I checked the flop. He shoved. Random folded. I ………… CALLED! #$%@ IT! Oh my god he has JJ… I totally misread the action I don’t have 6 outs I have 3 outs… whatever I am still getting a chance to turn $5 into $1500 … isn’t that 300-1 on the money I think to myself.

    Here comes the turn……..

    ACE… is that a Ace? OMG IT’S A FUCKING ACE! HOLY SHIT!

    All I have to do is dodge the case Jack and the awful call that I knew I was making actually panned out the way it does only in dreams.

    Here comes the river… and a sweet bankroll of $1,500! I am jumping up and down yelling at the screen just losing my mind!

    Here comes the River…….

    JACK.

    And that’s why I now hate Joe Sebok.

    Thank you threeven. I might make that picture my desktop background for awhile. And it appears the blinds were 15/30 not 30/60 which means the random guy min raised.

    And I forgot to mention that when i lost a large percentage of my stack on my play I had 99 a few hands later and lost to AK. When the 10 came on the river giving the opponent the straight. Woo is me. I'm over it now though. But thanks again for the sweet background!
