How do ranked and good poker players justifiy playing like a complete donkeys in low buy-in tourneys? The ranked players name has been omitted to limit a rag war.
Example
$5 MTT Tourney
Blinds 50/100
Your image TAG. You've only shown good hands and haven't been in many pots and you've got about 9K in chips.
In the cut-off seat you're dealt AA you have a raise to 450, a re-raise to 1500, and call in front of you. You raise to 4500, the button folds to the Small Blind (The ranked player) who has been in almost every hand and he's accumulated around 20K in chips he shoves, the original players fold and you call all-in of course with your AA.
He turns over 73os, of course he flops 2 pair, gg AA.
So you ask, what are you even doing in the hand and the response comes back.....
it's only a $5 tourney why are you still here?
Now I completely understand you love that push holding Pocket Aces, if it where Kings or Queens and they drew out on you, so be that's poker, you got unlucky, but you can't fault that, but a ranked player doing this is just seems to be unreal. Yes, I know I got unlucky, but to what purpose?
Any comments or ideas?
I expect to be completely flamed on this one, so fire away. -
My honest answer would be that they are probably just blowing off steam from taking it in the ass all day, or saw a juicy pot and wanted to gambol it up to geta big stack. If you are playing within your BR it shouldn't be a problem, the fact that a ranked player made a bad play against you has no relevance.

I personally think that these named players think they are so good so love to pull moves on people. You got so unlucky, and I hate his response. Whoever that player is, he/she is a dick, and should at least say sorry for being an idiot. It makes me mad that they dont take these games seriously and end up winning crazy hands like this one, when the other players who play these levels because their bankroll does not allow them to play at higher stakes, or they are learning, or just like those levels, it actually ruins the poker experience for the rest of us. If it was a donkey you can say, damn your an idiot, no wonder you lose so much money but it wasn't and like I said that player is an asshole.
Fuck him, and his donkey play, I actually hope he go busto.
good luck in the future, hope to see you on the tables. -
who was it
