I just picked up 2 of these bad boys from the meat market.
Judging from the posts I read, I know OT has some serious steak eaters out there.
I am looking for suggestions from some of you balla steak chefs for a good marinade recipe.
Can someone hook a brother up? -
garlic powder, kc steak seasoning, emirels steak sauce. medium/rare cooked obv
-
-chopped garlic cloves
-brown sugar
-teriyaki sauce
-worcestershire sauce
marinade for as long as possible
you won't regret it -
Be sure to smoother ketchup over that bad boy.

I have a great McCormick grill seasoning. Just soak the steaks in some Dale's sauce, then put the rub on then grill. sfgood
-
^^of course, why didnt I think of that. Ketchup and beef....mmmmm
-
If they're really high quality, I'd just do olive oil, salt and pepper.
-
^^^^ someone that knows what they are talking about.
-
Blood.
-
Mayo and blood. Mmmmm
-
ty dams

^agreed. I also love the Worcestshire, but not as a marinade. Throw it on top after the first turn and then on the uncovered side once it hits the plate. It chars too much to be a good marinade.
-
had an interesting steak the other night, it was polynesian
dale's and pineapple juice for 3 days, the pineapple juice has enzymes that break down the steak and tenderizes, was good stuff
but if it's a realy good cut and you don't want to mess it up, just a little sea salt and pepper rub is always good too -
perfect..ice cold bottle of muy bueno vodka-neat,cold salad, hot bread
-
If they really are good cuts, don't put a god damn thing on em. Just grill them until they are warm in the center and eat.

A couple cups of water, a cup of brown sugar, and as much Jack Daniels as you'd like. Let it marinade as long as you can in the refrigerator. the Jack Daniels/Brown Sugar combination carmelizes on the outside of your steak, leaving you in heaven.
-
Thats what I did. Salt and pepper and a little EVOO. Seared them crisp on the outside and left them nice and rare in the center. So damn good,
I took BubbaKGB and az1969's advice and used their suggestions to make a killer dipping sauce.
Ketchup
Worcestershire
Teriaki
Brown sugar
Red wine vinegar
Garlic powder
Best Steak ive had in a while.
Thanks OT!!!
