    Doubt I have been this excited for a video game in years, I played Oblivion more than I grinded poker... haven't bought a video game since BlackOPs, that streak ends FRIDAY!

    see?? not sure whats ur point, I was just unfamiliar with the name, being that am a HUGE old school RPG fan (I assume thats what you mean) I agree with you I wish they were still making them well....I have been let down time and time again since FFX (huge Final Fantasy homer) and feel as if "jrpgs" are gone.....FF13 made me want to never buy another.... you might be right, it could be Elder Scrolls fault, but I played the first ES and it was godawful, then I played Oblivion and fell in love....I think you just have to give Bethesda credit for make a groundbreaking game. All the others that try to replicate what Bethesda has done with ES are garbage and I won't even rent them.....I wish they could all be like FF7 or FF3

    I've never played an elder scrolls game before and usually don't play these types of games, but everything i have seen/read on skyrim looks absolutely epic. I splurged on a new gaming computer that's in the mail basically because of this game and diablo3 in march. I'm curious to see how everyone's first play throughs end up different.

    As much as I used to love turn based RPG's, Mass Effect is still the best ever RPG to me and I'm not even a big fan of shooters. "RPG" should be about role playing as opposed to being defined by needing combat broken down into six second segments. As much as I used to love and play the old D&D based computer RPGs, I'd never want to lose the games like Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Oblivion and The Witcher 2 that have totally "evolutionized" the genre.
