You clearly were not watching this game at all.
This Stanford offensive performance was right in line with Washington and San Jose St where they failed to get 300 yards in all 3 of these games. Yet somehow, some computer has them rated 20th in the nation in "offensive efficiency" despite them being in the 90s in yardage and 80s in scoring offense. "Efficient" indeed.
Anyone looking to use this performance to prop up NDs defense need only look at how Washington stopped Stanford and how they couldn't do a thing to stop an LSU offense that has looked terrible in SEC play. And that San Jose St held them under 300 yards as well. Under that light, stopping Stanford does not look to be a big deal at all and hardly something that would score points as "elite". -
Yeah, I hear ya - nobody is gonna offer it for real tho. hey, +6 turnover margin, 2 ints for TD, and we could easily be within 14 in the closing minutes

I mean, the NFL scheduling is rigged to help the shitty teams.

Its quite remarkable actually.
You can hypothetical yourself to death in nearly every sport. What makes CFB so cool, is that there's so many hypotheticals, and so many variables, ins, outs, what-have-yous.
It's the greatest sport on earth! -

Oh, I did 2011, but it was still ugly
Oh 2012: 42-15 lol -
5 teams in the SEC could handle Notre Dame.........i mean, fuck
-
handle = beat
Bama
LSU
USC
UF
UGA
They all beat Notre Dame. Fuck i knew when ND made it back in the top 10 all these dolts would come out thinking they are all of a sudden world beaters. -
I want to see more out of UGA before I'm willing to say they'd definitively beat ND. I'm not encouraged by the fact that UGA has faced one competent defense this year and they got absolutely stonewalled in that game. The Florida game in a couple weeks will be interesting.

im a nd hater AND an sec homer but lets get real. nd is basically a top 5 sec team. nd is deserving of top 10 ranking. yes all those sec teams COULD beat them but most of those games go either way.
nd vs uf, lsu, usc or uga is a 4 quarter game. its up for grabs in the 4th imo. i would take nd +4 in any of those games if i didnt hate them.
also.....the bama vs nd line would not be more than 14.....come on. nd fans would bet that game into single digits. YES! i will take bama - 9.5 tyvm. -
IF the NC game somehow ends up being ND/'Bama...and IF the ND homers bet it into single digits...I would honestly consider putting my mortgage on it.
-
lol i would suggest you put something of greater value on this no brainer.

however........this game would mean nd is unbeaten and has found some serious answers in moving the ball. -
I was more "uhhhh"'ing the word handle...def don't think ND is more than a 3-5 pt dog on a neutral field to any of those teams.
I agree tho, having kowboy arguing the same side I am greatly lessens my argument -
ahh ok, yea I would expect blowouts, just a consistent 4-7 point favorite.
-
look...I respect what Notre Dame is doing this year and all. But it's the first time in like over a decade they have really mattered at this point in a season. Yeah, they've beaten a couple Big 10(lol) teams and a decent Stanford team but they don't all of a sudden get my huge respect for that.
Hey, if they keep winning they will get their shot....... -
Pretty good weeks we have on our hands...
LSU falls out of the top 10 when they lose @ A&M
S. Car falls out of the top 10 when they lose @ UF
KSU takes their 1st lose @ WVU
and FSU blows out Miami in a rather meaningless game. -
On the same level, what the hell has UGA or USC done in recent years, other than be over-hyped every year and lose multiple games in the SEC?

well, they happen to play in the same conf as Bama and LSU. Substitute any other school in the country in your post and it would be the same story -
So they're better because of their affiliation with Alabama and LSU? Are you trying to imply if they didn't have to play LSU or Alabama they would have been competing for national titles? Okay. You keep telling yourself that as a way to deal with Georgia being consistently one of the biggest disappointments in college football every year.
