2+2 WTF?

    I tried going to 2+2 to login and it asked for a password in a popup window that i've never seen before. When i entered my 2+2 info nothing happened and i couldn't read the forums. Is anyone else having these problems? Whats the deal?

    why do you expect to get helpful answers about a rival poker forum on p5s, another poker forum?

    What makes the two sites rivals? 2+2 makes no attempt to make any money off its website at all, it's just a discussion forum for poker, other things and the publications of 2+2. Any rivalry you seem to think exists only exists because people from both forums dislike the other forum, but the views there aren't shared by the people who actually own/operate the forums.

    That being said...

    I want 2+2 back. :(

    Well, because people like Fozzy realize that we aren't all rivals, we're poker players looking for help. Thanks, Fozz.

    And Pod, if you don't go to 2+2 because it's a rival of P5s, you sir are costing yourself money.

    1) Software change today.
    2) You can change the way it looks.
    3) You can change it from Threaded to Flat mode which completely changes the outline of all the posts/threads.

    what should be more worrying is that annette has just started to post in the 2+2 high stakes mtt strategy forum.

    to date i've just browsed there occasionally and haven't signed-up as a member, but if annette feels she can get more useful strategy discussion there than here (which should be pretty obvious as here there is very little) then this site might be descending further into a kids shouting match.

    i think p5s needs to shape up with a proper strategy discussion section or there will soon be very few worthwhile posters here.

    Yea 2+2 is more of like going to a decent steakhouse and having a good conversation.

    Call it what you want, 2P2 is more of a site dedicated to a more serious discussion of poker. If I want to just relax and hang out and not grow mentally, I come to P5s. The gossip is awesome!! The back and forth bickering is out of this world!! The rants-beyond reproach. There are none better. But, down right, straight forward poker discussion, hands down it goes to 2P2.

    This is no slight against Cal, Adam and Lenny. They do everything they can to make this a good site, but the immature kids on here drag the site down. For example, anytime someone comes on to this site to ask a serious question, it turns into a kindergarten class. Name calling, bickering, ego vs. ego,etc. Just face it, it is what it is.... When I discovered this site 2 plus years ago, there was alot more poker discussion, now a select few think it is their own little bullying board where they can attack others. And the worst example is how people will look at your OPR and Sharkscope and completely discount anything you say. But let some underaged punk kid who can barely find his way to the medicine cabinet to apply the Clearisel to his pimpled face and he is praised as a god. It's up to each one of us as members to make this a better site. Remember that the next time you think of typing GTFO.

    I actually like the layout here far better. And Gobbo, Ad Revenue aside it is naive to think the sites are not competitors. They compete for poker players. I think both sites have silly people who put down the opposing site. The difference is, they (2+2) have a separate section specifically for controversy & gossip. While here that stuff is mixed in Poker Discussion so we all see it. On 2+2 if you stay off that specific board you do not have to hear all the pety stuff. Also, there are plenty of good posters here, and many that post on both sites. If you are really trying to learn the game both sides can be very helpful IMO.
