It was weird seeing Blunt as a blonde.
-
You don't need to guess, his face was definitely heavily CGI'd, but they did an amazing job. Looper was awesome.
-
I'll echo what most have said. Looper was really good
-
saw dredd the other night and was pleasantly surprised. lol
-
dredd was probably and will be the best 3d movie of the year. Was suberb, and sucks it got such a weak box office.
-
woops; didn't even see it in 3d(didnt even know it was offered in 3d) but now that you mention it i bet the special fx was awesome in that format

Saw Looper last night and Perks this afternoon. Looper was quite good, but Perks...that was something special. Really quite something from start to finish, and omfg at Emma. Dynamite performance, and obviously the tunnel scene took my breath away. Wowowowow.
-
Good to hear someone else say good things about Perks... I don't know if it was just nostalgia but I don't think that's it... the movie really got to me and I will definitely be seeing it again.

About 99% sure I'll be buying it when the time comes. Amazing.

Ok i just saw looper. Very good. Thought emily blunt was really good and so was the little boy. I do have a question that I can't wrap my head around after seeing it though.
****SPOILER ALERT******
When Bruce Willis FIRST gets sent back, we see JGL fail to kill him; he gets knocked out, returns home and falls off the fire escape. The screen goes blank, where it then shows the same scene, but JGL DOES kill him. He then lives out the next 30 years of his life.
My question is, why would Rian Johnson put the scene where JGL fails to kill bruce first? wouldnt it make more sense to show that he does kill him, gets the gold and lives the next thirty years, then gets sent back with the knowledge the the loop is being closed? I couldnt see the reason for showing it the other way. I know i have to be missing something here.... -
While viewing the movie, I thought the fall killed him and that the loop then reset. That was not the case as they later come back to him after the fall. I think the film was written that way because it was the best way to show his future life and Willis' motivation.

I thought the scene in the diner was amazing
-
I think he wanted to give continuation to the previous 'closing of the loop' failure. BTW the whole scene of his friend failing starting from where JGL gives him away I was cringing so fucking hard....right until he gets to the address and all they show is a bloody as fuck operating table.

2 thumbs up to perks of being a wallflower. i really enjoyed the book as well.
-
I really want to see both of these movies. I love the book Perks so I am excited about the movie. Looper seems like a really intresting narrative so that should be intresting. Thanks for the reviews.

I just watched Perks. It definitely kept me interested for most of the film. Some grievances, (SPOILERS) Didn't believe 2 seniors would ever befriend a freshman let alone have sex with him. The setting of the film was ambiguous, the fashion looked late 90's/2000's, yet alot of the music was 80's, sonic youth, crowded house, the smiths, but the film is apparently set in the early 90's. weird. Charlies recovery from near suicide seemed rushed also.
