  3. you do realize constructing your scenario would cost way more than 100k.
so even if your guys win ten rings, you're going broke

    mark cuban tho
  5. Rose and Durant. Dominate the next 10 years
  6. Kobe and Howard. I think they would benefit from each others styles more than LeBron and Howard. Kobe is a much better shooter and would be hard to guard after playing inside out. He is also still athletic enough to get in the lane. This would be the two i'd build around on a 1 year basis. If you mean to build a team around for years obviously Kobe is getting old and i'd go with LeBron.

    Last year:

From 16-23': Kobe shot 38%, Lebron shot 45%
From 3 point range: Kobe shot 32.5%, Lebron shot 34.3%

Lebron also is an elite defender. Kobe is not anymore.

And yeah I think age is a factor but never actually read OP to be honest just saw title.

    wow good plan faggo

I think it's pretty clear the most effective brand of player is a guy between 6'6 and 6'9 who can score from anywhere on the court, pass a good bit, play some d and has the ability to make everyone on the court better. Point guards are great and big men can dominate, but ANY answer that doesn't include lebron or durant in it, as arguments can be for who u want as your second player, is just flat out incorrect going forward.

  11. I don't like basketball enough to answer this but did I hear Charles and CWeb arguing that Bynum was better then Howard?

  13. Think it has to be LeBron/Howard. Can't go LBJ/Rose or LBJ/any other PG (both dominate the ball too much), LBJ/Durant (same position/type of player essentially) or Durant/Howard (dont think Durant is a good enough facilitator, even though he's a good a scorer as there is).

However I do think that if selling tickets is the main goal, a LeBron/Blake Griffin combo or D-Rose/BG combo would be pretty decent as well.

I'm pretty sure it was Shaq who said this, and it was probably the stupidest thing to come out of an NBA analyst's mouth ever. Howard>>>Bynum ainec. Shaq's just pissed that Howard stole his "Superman" nickname/persona/whatever the fuck you wanna call it

This man summed it up perfectly. You can all go home now.
  15. Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes .... not even close

My point is rather simple. With the right talent you can "make do" with an old vet, or young gun at the point. If youre not taking Lebron/Dwight youre insane. They are the 2 best players in the league.

lol ur obv a n00b... i said guard not PG... how do u fail so hard? is Dwade a PG?... Kobe is a guard u ignorant twit... hes a 2 aka shooting guard... in 2days NBA its a guard driven league so im soryy.. im not taking lebron who btw has 0 titles... and has proven to shy away from the big moment... i want a guy who is gona drive to lane and be willing to hit freethrows and or alley oop dish to Dwight... not the premadona, regular season warrior in LEBUM... u need sumthin in the backcourt and sumthin upfront... Kobe n Shaq in the early 00's was the epitome of what u want for a 1, 2 punch.... i think in todays nba closest to that is wade n howard...

  17. Howard is way overrated in this thread. He definitely isn't a given choice in this scenario imo. Although ultimately I do think that Lebron+Howard is the answer. Lebron+durant would be pretty damn good. I don't really understand why people throw that out because they "play the same position." LBJ can play and defend at least 3 positions. I think having someone who can shoot as good as Durant would make him borderline undefendable. Either way, none of these combos by themselves are winning anything. With LBJ and Howard you absolutely have to find quality shooter to complement. With LBJ/Durant you have to find an excellent post defender/rebounder + one other shooter. Anyone saying Rose/LBJ has lost their mind, or Rose/anyone for that matter.

Can't say I agree with much of this post. I think it's pretty clear that Rose/LBJ > Lebron/Durant. I also think it's pretty clear that Dwight has to be a part of the duo no matter who the other player is. I also don't think it's crazy to say Rose/anyone so long as the anyone is Dwight/Lebron/Durant.
