complete and utter domination. Big ups to the Cardinal fans, who have been absolutely un-obnoxious for the most part this series. I promise not to bad mouth them at all until March.

Congrats San Fran. You now have the honor of getting swept in the World Series.

I didn't even think about the '96 Braves series until now...that one was super painful to watch as a kid growing up.
I don't feel like getting depressed by looking up the scores in that series, but didn't they get absolutely THROTTLED in 3 straight to lose that one?
At least in this one they were somewhat in a few of the games... -
Tell me I'm not the only one who cheers for division rivals to win championships. If the Tigers win then next year anytime the Twins win I can say "boom, beat the defending champs!"..
Oh and, I hate Delmon Young with a passion. Ugliest fundamentals/mechanics ever. -
lol no chance id cheer for anyone in our division other than maybe the pirates. i guess i wouldn't mind seeing the cubs or astros do well, but i wouldn't be rooting for them.
on that same note, if we were gonna lose, i think the giants are one of few teams I could handle losing to. Itd be way shittier vs cinci, mil, phi, atl, nym, lad.
lastly, i really do think the giants will win it all. at the same time, i will probably root for the tigers(even though ill get all shit for my past predictions and ripping on the AL) because it would be really cool to see Verlander, my favorite non-card player, win a ring, guy def deserves it. either way, should be a good series. im guessing a few 1-0 2-1 duels and a few 8-5 games -
Big ups to the Giants ... Great year by the Cardinals and only 1 game away from getting back to the promised land.

It's hard for me to explain, I mean you could say your team had a part in preparing the potential champions by playing good ball against them throughout the season, so essentially you find a reason to credit your own team. IDK, I even enjoyed seeing the Packers win the super bowl two years ago, it might just be a respect thing.
-
camelfan you gotta embrace the rivalry. if any team in the nl central or nfc central (yea i said central) i would hate it. the only team i wouldnt be insanely pissed about is if the lions won the superbowl. i do actually feel sorry for them.

oh my fucking God. What a game. Easily the greatest sports event I have ever been to in my life. The pouring rain at the very end was the icing on the cake. We were drenched to the bone and simply loving it! The crowd was crazy electric and cheering everything.
You probably couldnt hear it on TV but around the bottom of the seventh inning a small chant picked up in the bleachers...I couldnt figure out what it was but it pickjed up down the lines and then whole stadium was chanting a slow chant of "HOL-LI-DAY HOL-LI-DAY HOL-LI-DAY". It was awesome.
