It looks like there is a good amount of interest in this so I am going to go ahead and open the 2012 OT Mega League.

After some discussion, the only change from original setup is adding the .5 ppr

I am going to pm everyone that expressed interest and give them the paypal shipping info. You guys can start shipping now, and lets quickly get the league full so we have time to setup the individual leagues and get draft times set and all. Less than 4 weeks til kickoff!

Anyone else that wants to play just pm me, ill give you the shipping info.

After you ship, post in this thread and I will try to update it a few times a day (no op editing makes this a bit more difficult). I also need a few guys that are willing to be commissioners for their league, which entails setting up the league and finding a draft date/time that works for everyone. Let me know if your willing to commish when you post here. Also post itt if you are buying two teams.

As of right now, registration for the megaleague will close on roughly Wed 22nd (give or take a day depending on number of entrants, so ship asap) This will give us two weeks to sign up and ship, and two weeks to setup leagues and do the drafts.

When signing up for your league (s), please use your P5s name until the draft, then fell free to make whatever name you want. It makes it easier to know when everyone is signed up and who is missing etc. Thanks

I'm in for 2 teams.

I know we ran into the problem last year of me having multiple teams and making the championship with more than one team.

What are the rules going to be for that this year?

I have two friends that will want 1/2 teams themselves again (same 2 guys).

I don't remember what was done last year, but my suggestion would be this: you get 1/6th of the playoff league prize pool (which based on 60 people would be $200) + get 1 team in the playoff league (in addition to whatever regular season prizes you won with both teams). The playoff league then plays out with 5 teams instead of 6. This allows you to buy the 2nd team out at neutral EV (since all 6 teams start from a clean slate anyway), and circumvents the problem of being unable to draft 2 teams.

I was hoping to keep it to p5ers but it looks like we need all the players we can get. Tell your buddy just to make an acct here and that would solve any problem.

The rule always was if you win a division you cannot also be the wildcard. However if you win and one of your "friends" also wins or is the wildcard, then that is fine. If people have a big problem with this tho, mkind's buy out suggestion is pretty solid

Is there anything that can be done to prevent assholes from throwing in the towel after week 5 or 6 and not even managing their team once they are mathematically out of contention? This happened in the megaleague last year and directly impacted me as I played the asshole early when he still cared and other top teams played him late and got gifted late season wins.
